Affected by domestic economic situation and economic policies,the Internet consumer finance industry has developed rapidly and expanded at an alarming rate in recent years,while the growth rate of the credit card business of commercial banks,both in terms of the number of cards issued and the total amount of credit,has been declining.The credit card industry is facing challenges.To maintain its market share and continue to expand its profit scale,it is necessary to study the factors affecting its profit scale,to change its business strategy and to adjust its development path.The research on the influence of Internet consumer finance on credit card business mostly focuses on risk control,while the research on profitability is relatively small.So,this thesis tries to take the profit level of credit card business as the research object,establish a regression model through comparative analysis and empirical research,and explore the influence on the expansion of the profit scale of the credit card industry from the Internet consumer finance and commercial banks.In empirical analysis,a panel regression model is established,with the income scale of credit card business of commercial banks as the explanatory variable,the loan scale and balance scale of internet consumer finance industry as the explanatory variable,and the internal factors of banks as the internal control variables.The model regression results show that the expansion of loan scale and balance scale of Internet consumer finance industry has a significant negative impact on the income scale of credit card business of China’s commercial banks;The three internal characteristic variables representing the operating cost,operating efficiency and customer demand of the credit card department of commercial banks also have a significant impact on the profitability of the credit card business.Based on this conclusion,the article finally puts forward some suggestions for the development of the credit card department of commercial banks.
