| Wood-based panel products belong to the basic raw materials and bulk products category,it plays an important role in the development of China’s national economy,and is also an important product for international export trade.After years of development and accumulation,China’s exports of wood-based panel products plays an important role in the world wood-based panel products export supply.This study uses panel data from 2010 to 2020 to conduct an empirical study on the factors influencing China’s wood-based panel export trade.First,the paper starts from the current situation of China’s wood-based panel industry and trade,and measures the international market share and export RCA index of three types of woodbased panels in China.The measurement results show that China’s plywood exports have a strong international competitive advantage,but the international competitive advantage of fiberboard and particleboard exports is not obvious.Following that,the thesis refined the factor variables affecting China’s wood-based panel exports based on Porter’s six elements of competitiveness enhancement and combined with SWOT analysis,after which a regression analysis of the factors affecting China’s wood-based panel exports was conducted using the trade gravity model.Based on the standard gravity equation,the paper added the differences in forest production in importing and exporting countries and the anti-dumping or not of trading partners,which are directly related to wood-based panels,to more accurately study the factors affecting China’s wood-based panel exports.It is found that the growth of China’s economy,the economic growth of importing country or region,the difference in forest products between the import and export sides all have significant positive effects on the increase of China’s wood-based panel export trade,and the appreciation of RMB,wage growth and anti-dumping all have significant negative effects on China’s wood-based panel export trade.Based on the above research findings,this paper puts forward policy recommendations on how to promote the export development of China’s wood-based panel industry. |
