As a key connecting window of the Belt and Road Initiative,an important gateway to ASEAN’s opening and cooperation,and a defense line for safeguarding the homeland security of the southern Xinjiang,Guangxi’s land border area is in a very important strategic position.At present,the country persists in expanding high-level opening to the outside world,deeply grasping regional economic partnership,focusing on economic and trade exchanges and industrial cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road,and promoting steady development of border trade.Construction land is the main support for regional economic activities.In special areas along the border,Factors such as the acceleration of urban development,the construction of new houses in rural areas,and the improvement of industrial and transportation facilities change the way,structure and morphological characteristics of construction land.The transformation of construction land in turn feeds into regional economic and trade activities,promotes the quality and efficiency of development environment,affects its development process and quality,and the interactive relationship between the transformation of construction land and the development of border trade is constantly strengthened.Therefore,the study on the relationship between the transformation of construction land in the research area and the development of border trade is helpful to solve the key problems such as weak trade development foundation and unbalanced regional development,improve the utilization efficiency of construction land,and promote the sustainable,coordinated and high-quality development of border.Based on this,eight counties and urban areas in Guangxi land border region were taken as the research unit,and under the framework and main line of "transition process calibration--trade development identification--interaction analysis--optimization strategy proposal",the quantity and structure changes of construction land transformation,transformation range and speed,source and destination,changes in spatial agglomeration characteristics and other aspects were firstly discussed.At the same time,the evaluation index system of "structure-efficiency-function" for construction land transformation was constructed,and the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of construction land transformation in Guangxi land border region during 2000-2020 were explored respectively from the dominant form perspective and the recessive form perspective.In addition,the paper systematically analyzes the changes of border trade development from the dimensions of "trade development environment-trade development capacity-trade cooperation level",and uses the coupling coordination degree model and panel vector autoregressive model to discuss the coupling coordination,driving mechanism and interaction law between the transformation of construction land and border trade development.Finally,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for the problems existing in the development of construction land and border trade in the study area,and the main conclusions are as follows:(1)The scale of construction land in Guangxi land belt presents an increasing development trend,and the transformation quantity presents a development trend of "total increase,internal fluctuation",and the transformation range tends to be consistent with the quantity change trend.Among them,the transformation range of urban land,rural residential land,industrial and mining land and transportation land is 0.0020,-0.002 and 0.0029,respectively,showing an obvious increasing evolution process,reflecting that urban land,industrial and mining land and transportation land are the dominant land types affecting the transformation of construction land in the past 20 years.In terms of the transformation speed,the overall change features of "flat in the early stage-increasing in the middle stage-drastic in the late stage".From the perspective of the sources and reclamation of construction land transformation,during the study period,the transfer sources of construction land in the study area showed a relatively high level of increase,with arable land and forest land being the most significant new areas.From the perspective of internal transfer sources,the transfer of rural residential land into urban land was on a wide scale,and the main source of the transfer of construction land in the study area was the consolidation and reclamation of rural residential land.The direction of construction land is mainly dominated by agricultural land,with the key and cultivated land as the main.From the perspective of the change of spatial agglomeration characteristics of construction land,the density of construction land showed a continuous increase and showed the distribution characteristics of "dense in the middle and sparse in the north and south",and the nuclear density showed the change characteristics of "gentle in the early stage and drastic in the late stage".(2)The transformation level of construction land in Guangxi land border area shows a gradually rising trend.In terms of the characteristics of the structural transformation of construction land,the structural transformation index of construction land increased from 0.0010 to 0.0690 during the study period,reflecting that the transfer and utilization of construction land tended to be reasonable in the process of regional urbanization,but the structural transformation index of counties and urban areas showed significant regional differences.In terms of the transformation characteristics of construction land efficiency,the transformation index of construction land efficiency increased from 0.0010 in 2000 to 0.2110 in 2020,showing an increasing trend,reflecting the gradual improvement of regional construction land use efficiency.Fangcheng District and Pingxiang City had a larger increase of 303.26% and 333.77%.From the perspective of functional transformation of construction land,functional transformation continues to increase as a whole,showing a spatial trend of "intense in the north,stable in the middle and slow in the south".In the past 20 years,the transformation index increased from0.185 to 0.331.The transformation index of its internal economic,environmental,social and security functions is 0.2093,0.1963,0.1808 and 0.1051,respectively.The homeland security function needs to be improved and strengthened.From the spatio-temporal pattern characteristics of the comprehensive transformation of construction land,it can be seen that the level of the comprehensive transformation index has been improving over the years.The regional differences of the comprehensive transformation index remain stable but the overall ups and downs are significant.The structure and layout of construction land need to be optimized and the reasonable transformation and upgrading of construction land should be guaranteed.(3)The coupling coordination degree of construction land transformation and trade development level in Guangxi land border area showed a "sharp-slow-sharp" increasing trend.The system coupling level has been upgraded from the moderately synchronous stage of unbalanced development to the moderately lagged mode of coordinated construction land transformation.The main reason is that the border areas,under the influence of geo-economy,constantly promote the economic development of the border areas and the improvement of people’s living standards.As an important factor supporting the development of border trade,the two have mutual influence and interaction.It also guides the construction land to adapt to the development of border trade and promotes the coupling relationship to develop in a good and orderly direction.From the perspective of spatial distribution characteristics of coupling coordination,the coupling coordination degree of construction land transformation and trade development presents the distribution characteristics from "dispersion" to "agglomeration" during 2000-2020.Coupling coordination development is mainly transitioned from low-degree dissonant development to low-degree coordinated development,and the current coupling coordination level is close to moderate coordinated development.The transformation of construction land and the development of border trade interact and restrain each other,and there is a certain internal logic and coupling relationship.It is necessary to take high-quality development as the core,comprehensively consider the internal and external driving factors of the two systems,establish a perfect regional coordination mechanism,gradually reduce regional differences,and realize common and coordinated development of regions.(4)The transformation of construction land has a strong impact on border trade,while the effect of border trade on guiding the development of construction land is relatively weak.On the one hand,the impact of urban land,rural residential land,industrial and mining land and transportation land on border trade showed obvious positive effects.On the other hand,from the impact of border trade on construction land,the overall impact of border trade on construction land is mostly positive,and then the impact degree shows a slowing trend.According to the variance decomposition,it is found that construction land and border trade influence each other,but the relationship between rural settlements and border trade is more significant than that between urban land and border trade,industrial and mining land and transportation land and border trade.Therefore,in the future,we should optimize the structure of construction land,promote the adjustment of border trade,guide the transformation of construction land,comply with the transformation of border trade mode,implement special land policies,promote the synchronous development of the system and other perspectives,so as to ensure the reasonable transformation of construction land and promote the high-quality development of border trade.
