Vietnam and China position adjacent to the development of border trade is also a longtime. As early as the Song dynasty, border traders "barter" early form simple border tradeform. While the old period, the bilateral conservative foreign trade policy, as well as thenegligence of each other’s economic and trade cooperation between the slow progress inmaking the development of border trade. Until1991, Vietnam and China formallyestablished bilateral foreign trade relations of cooperation, border trade between the twocountries rapidly improve, and gradually reveals its role in promoting bilateral economic,has now become the most important form of trade in the trade between the two countries.And Guangxi as the city directly to the border with Vietnam, is Vietnam-China bordertrade carried out in the main window. Therefore, the development of Vietnam Guangxiborder trade, and the analysis of trade to carry out the existing problems in the process, inorder to promote the development of the bilateral border trade, health, friendship.This paper will be mainly base on the perspective of empirical analysis and empiricalresearch to analyze and summarize the status of border trade in Vietnam and Guangxi, theproblem, and given the problems the proposed measures. First, the paper will review thehistory of the development of Vietnam and China border trade, inorder to a comprehensiveunderstanding of the border trade situation between the two countries. Second, data andcharts in the form of intuitive, informative reflect the size and structure of the border tradebetween Vietnam and China, Vietnam and Guangxi, and the border trade between Vietnamand Guangxi border trade and border trade trade further classification analysis. Then, withVietnam and the development of bilateral economic and trade and economic cooperationbetween the two countries to analyze the problems in the border trade between Vietnamand Guangxi. Finally, pursuant to the foregoing questions put forward countermeasuresand suggestions to promote border trade between Vietnam and GuangxiAfter this study, the following main conclusions can be drawn: Vietnam and Guangxi’sborder trade expanded year by year, especially after Vietnam joined the WTO in2006, andits development growth has gradually increased and has become the main form of bilateraltrade; Vietnam in Guangxi border trade produced relatively low value-added agriculturalproducts, seafood products and other varieties, while imports are mostly for the relativelyhigh value-added varieties of machinery and equipment, which led to Vietnam in thebilateral border trade deficit facts; on the prospects for development, border trade in Vietnam and Guangxi, facing China’s economic growth, produced a good strategy and thegradual opening up of foreign trade favorable factors, but at the same time, but also by thetrade imbalance, and regulations are incomplete and irrational structure, poor infrastructureand other factors.
