In the digital era,The new generation of employees born in 80-90 are the main force and potential resource for enterprise development.However,because of the influence of time,social environment and so on,they are very different from the previous employees.Now they are facing increasing work pressure,job-hopping and dimission phenomenon are not increasing,which is not conducive to the development of employees and enterprises.But how to solve this situation so that they can play a larger role in the company and achieve career success,it is a great challenge to traditional business management skills.Domestic and foreign scholars have conducted a lot of research on the sense of mission and career success,but there are still some shortcomings.The sense of mission is the perception of the degree of work,and it is also a kind of belief.It can stimulate the behavioral motivation of employees,improve their work involvement,and make their career goals clearer,so that they can make efforts and achieve career success.The study on the influence of the new generation of employees’ sense of vocation and career success can bring new ideas and theories for the new generation of employees to achieve career success.Based on a review of relevant literature,this article proposes corresponding assumptions and establishes a research model.This paper focuses the influence of the new generation’s sense of mission on career success and the mediating and chain mediating effects of psychological empowerment and job engagement between the sense of mission and career success.First,the variable is defined operationally and the measurement tool is selected.Secondly,an initial questionnaire was designed and a small-scale preliminary survey was conducted to analyze the reliability and validity of the collected initial data.Then,on this basis,a formal questionnaire was determined.Using SPSS25.0 and AMOS225.0 statistical software,descriptive statistical analysis,reliability and validity analysis,and regression analysis were conducted on the data of 373 valid questionnaires,so as to test the model used in the paper and the hypothesis proposed.The findings are as follows:(1)The sense of mission of the new generation of employees significantly affects their career success.The higher the sense of mission,the higher the sense of success.(2)Psychological empowerment has an intermediary effect between the sense of occupational mission and occupational success.The new generation of employees can identify with their own work,and stick to it successfully,and have a higher chance of success in their career.(3)Job involvement plays an intermediary role in the relationship between career mission and career success.The more new generation employees devote to their work,the more successful they will be in their career.(4)The chain mediating variables composed of psychological empowerment and job engagement play a mediating role between the dimensions of career mission and career success.To be specific,the sense of occupational mission can influence job engagement through psychological empowerment and ultimately affect job satisfactio,career success,intra-organization competitiveness and extra-organization competitiveness.Based on the above,this paper finds that the new generation of employees’ sense of occupational mission has an important impact on career success,which improves the theoretical results of the sense of occupational mission.And corresponding suggestions and countermeasures are put forward to improve the sense of mission of the new generation of employees and promote career success:(1)Emphasize the professional mission of the new generation of employees.(2)Improve the psychological empowerment of the new generation of employees.(3)Improve the work engagement of the new generation of employees.(4)Optimize the management of the new generation of employees.
