Research On Bilateral Agricultural Products Trade Between Laos And China

Laos and China are both Asian countries.Since ancient times,the two countries have always maintained friendly and harmonious relations in politics,economy and civilization,and their economic and trade relations have a long history.Since the Chinese government proposed the "Belt and Road" initiative in 2013,the Lao government has made positive responses and actions,pushing the cooperative relationship between the two countries to a new level,and the bilateral agricultural product trade cooperation between the two countries has also become closer.In recent years,Laos has a stable domestic political environment,sound economic development,rich agricultural resources,and the government strongly supports and encourages the import and export of agricultural products.Taking advantage of its geographical location,Laos is one of the main sources of agricultural imports in China.With the advancement of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area,the trade in agricultural products between China and Laos has developed rapidly.At present,China has become the third largest agricultural product trading partner of Laos and the largest investment in Laos agriculturecountry.This paper analyzes and studies the background and significance of bilateral agricultural product trade between Laos and China by collecting and sorting out relevant literature.Under the guidance of related theories,analyze the historical process of Laos-China bilateral agricultural product trade development,further analyze and study the current development status of Laos-China bilateral agricultural product trade,and extract the small scale and different trade structure of Laos-China bilateral agricultural product trade under the "Belt and Road" initiative.The characteristics of balance and strong complementarity.In recent years,the bilateral trade volume of agricultural products between Laos and China has continued to grow,the types of import and export have expanded,the areas of trade have continued to expand,and the modes of agricultural trade cooperation have gradually diversified.Issues such as a sound legal enforcement system,under the analysis of the development process of the "Belt and Road" initiative,are carried out on 6 variables such as regional economic cooperation,technology,policy,and transportation that currently affect the bilateral agricultural product trade between Laos and China,as well as the two indexes of RCA and TCL.empirical analysis;Finally,Improvement measures are put forward from different perspectives to promote the high-quality development of Laos-China bilateral agricultural trade.First,to improve the level and quality of Lao agricultural products;Second,improve the construction of modern agricultural infrastructure in Laos;Third,increase the training of agricultural trade talents;Fourth,deepen regional economic cooperation;Fifth,strengthen strategic mutual trust between Laos and China.This paper enriches the theory of Laos’ domestic international trade and regional economic integration,provides a direction for the future development of bilateral agricultural product trade between Laos and China,and further promotes the healthy,efficient and sustainable development of bilateral agricultural product trade between Laos and China.Promoting the construction of a China-Laos community with a shared future is steady and fruitful.
