With the deepening of economic globalization,economic exchanges among countries are becoming more and more frequent.Under the guidance of China’s "One Belt,One Road" initiative,more and more Chinese corporations step out of the country’s border and start international operation,and the number of expatriates has also increased year by year.H Company is committed to becoming the world’s top agricultural and livestock enterprise.Thus,the company has begun overseas investment to establish feed mills as well as farms,and to develop international business in feed and its raw materials since 2003.With the increasing number of foreign branches and expanding scope of business,H company has sent more staff aboard.Under this circumstance,it has become a significant research field to find out the current existing problems in the spiritual motivation among the expatriates,and to propose corresponding improvement measures.Based on Herzberg’s two-factor theory and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs,the thesis investigate the status of material and spiritual motivation of expatriates via questionnaire.There are problems in understanding of corporate culture,the relationship between expatriates and host country employees,the recognition of expatriates’ managers to their employees,and the effectiveness of training and promotion channels.Using Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and target motivation theory,this thesis puts forward corresponding improvement measures,say clarifying the core values and key elements of corporate culture,innovating and enriching the ways of corporate culture publicity and implementation,building a humanized management atmosphere,stimulating the subjective initiatives of expatriates,optimizing the training system,and improving the promotion channels for expatriates.On the basis of other support resources such as headquarter,meet the individual welfare demand,information management tools,overseas partner’s management idea,the thesis aims at providing assistance for the management of H company expatriates.Strengthening the construction of spiritual incentives for expatriates will not only help improve their working stability,but also stimulate the subjective initiative of employees to complete their work efficiently,which would benefit the achievement of the company’s strategic goals.This thesis also aims to improve and optimize the relevant systems of the spiritual motivation of expatriates,make good use of the positive guiding role of motivation,stimulate the employees’ working initiatives,reduce the employment costs,improve work efficiency and valuable outcome,and strengthen the localized human resources management ability of enterprises aboard to help maximize profits of the corporate.
