Digital Platform Empowerment And Entrepreneurial Performance:the Mediating Role Of Dynamic Competence And The Moderating Role Of Entrepreneurial Learning

Entrepreneurship on the digital platform has become the most important form of entrepreneurship in the era of digital economy.How to join the digital platform to seek for platform enabling entrepreneurial activities has been paid attention by scholars.Existing studies have explored the influencing factors of entrepreneurial smes’ performance in non-digital scenarios,and dynamic capability,as an important factor to explain the growth of enterprise performance,has a more direct impact on performance.However,as for the impact of dynamic capability on performance,too much emphasis has been placed on the internal factors of the enterprise itself(organizational learning,resource patchwork,organizational resources,etc.).Some scholars pay attention to external factors(market orientation),but lack the ability to explore the impact of digital platforms on the dynamic capability of start-ups from the perspective of enablement and based on inter-organizational relations.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the effect mechanism of digital platforms on the performance of startups in the context of digital economy.Based on enabling theory and dynamic capability theory,this paper focuses on how digital platforms promote enterprise performance.What paths exist?Based on the research framework of "technology-organization-performance" and the research data analysis of start-ups on the platform,the main conclusions of this core issue are as follows:(1)Digital platform can directly improve the performance of start-ups on the platform through data empowerment,resource empowerment and technology empowerment.It identifies the path of digital platform empowerment to improve entrepreneurial performance,that is,by improving the dynamic capabilities of start-ups on the platform(market awareness,organizational agility and product development),thus improving entrepreneurial performance.(2)It identifies three dynamic capabilities(market awareness,organizational agility and product development)on digital platforms that can improve entrepreneurial performance;(3)Entrepreneurial learning positively moderates the role of platform enablement in promoting dynamic capability,indicating that entrepreneurial learning is conducive to overcoming the dilemma of "dependence" and"absorption" brought by enabling.Meanwhile,its development mode gradually shifts from"platform dependence of capability" to "autonomy of capability".In this study,the model of "digital platform enabling→dynamic eapability→entrepreneurial performance" enriched the research on the dynamic capability construction and performance growth of entrepreneurial enterprises on the platform in the context of digital economy,and provided a reference for digital platforms to carry out targeted enabling activities and entrepreneurial enterprises on the platform to solve the problem of "enabling dependence".
