Optimization On Supplier Chain Management Of Company S Based On APS

With the development of globalization,manufactures have been facing with more and more fierce competitions and threats,as well as challenges in all aspects,such as the increased cost of manpower,raw material and equipment,causing less and less profits left to manufactures.To keep more customers so as to take more market share by meeting customers’demands,the manufactures all make their efforts on cost-down and efficiency promotion.While selling products and service is not always be useful for profits nowadays,more and more manufactures spend time and cost on supply chain management to get the final target of profits.They use ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)system to manage their supply chain.However,in such a changeable marketing and globalization environment,ERP system which is based on infinite capacity and unconstrained resources is not able to have fast response on the markets and customers’ requests,especially to meet the requests of lean production from those manufactures with discrete manufacturing,some of them have combined ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)with APS(Advanced Planning and Scheduling)together to realize the integration and perfection of the management of their supplier chain,in order to get their targets of cost-down,efficiency promotion so as to gain more profits finally.This thesis presents an investigation and analysis in the supplier chain management of company S,aiming at finding out the problems in the supplier chain and impacts on the company based on the current ERP system.Through the interviews with relevant managers and suppliers,referring to the collected data,and guided by the theoretical knowledge of domestic and foreign literature,the writer finds the solution to work out all these problems,that is to apply APS system in company S together with ERP to help with the management of supplier chain in company S.The advantages and functions of APS could be helpful to facilitate the process of purchasing,promote the production efficiency,shorten the production lead time,decrease the stock on hand and save cost of manpower and raw,so as to keep the energy of company S to well hold the market and customers.
