In recent years, research on corporate social responsibility at the micro level has gradually increased, especially in the field of organizational human resource management, and more scholars have begun to explore the impact of corporate social responsibility on employees’ attitudes and behaviors. However, job seekers who are potential employees of enterprises have received little attention from researchers. One of the important reasons is the lack of awareness and attention of enterprises to job seekers as a stakeholder. With the in-depth development of economic globalization, human resources,as a unique resource, play an increasingly important role in the development process of enterprises, and attracting external talents has gradually become the key for enterprises to maintaining their own competitive advantages. It has important practical significance for CSR research to focus on job seekers at the individual level. Therefore, this paper links the performance of corporate social responsibility with the attractiveness of enterprises, taking job seekers as the research object, and exploring the impact of corporate social responsibility on attracting job seekers. At the same time, the research introduces corporate reputation and corporate social responsibility altruistic attribution, and analyzes the mechanism by which corporate social responsibility affects the attractiveness of companies to job seekers.Specifically, the following three questions are studied: First,to explore whether a corporate’s social responsibility behaviors affect its attractiveness to job seekers;Second,to explore whether the altruistic attribution of job seekers to corporate responsibility acts as a mediator between the company’s social responsibility and its attractiveness to job seekers. The third is to explore whether job-seekers’ expected reputation evaluation of the company moderates the relationship between the company’s commitment to social responsibility and job-seekers’ altruistic attribution of corporate responsibility behavior. The research results show that the corporate social responsibility has a significant impact on the attractiveness of corporate to job seekers. When job seekers perceive a higher level of corporate social responsibility, job seekers have a higher evaluation of corporate attractiveness. The altruistic attribution of job seekers to CSR plays a completely mediating role in the impact of corporate social responsibility on attracting job seekers. And the Job seekers’ expected reputation evaluation of the company plays a moderating role between the corporate social responsibility and the job seeker’s CSR altruistic attribution. When expected corporate reputation is high, the positive effect of corporate social responsibility on job seekers’ CSR altruistic attribution is stronger. In addition, expected corporate reputation moderates the indirect effect of corporate social responsibility on attracting job seekers through CSR altruistic attribution, and when expected corporate reputation is low,the effect of corporate social responsibility on attracting job seekers through CSR altruistic attribution is stronger.According to the research conclusions, this paper provides suggestions and references for the practice of human resource management from the perspective of corporate social responsibility. It is suggested that enterprises should be aware of the positive effect of undertaking certain social responsibilities on attracting job seekers. Also,in the human resources recruitment practice of enterprises, the targeted display of relevant information on corporate social responsibility can enhance the attractiveness of enterprises to job seekers.
