| Entrepreneurship is not the patent of entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial teams.Corporate entrepreneurship is also an indispensable part of entrepreneurship research.Corporate entrepreneurship refers to the process of innovation,new business and strategic renewal of individuals or teams within an enterprise from top to bottom or from bottom to top.Under the situation of increasing global competition,more and more existing enterprises carry out entrepreneurial activities by revitalizing resources.For example,baidu reached a cooperation agreement with Geely and Baidu established an automobile company.Similarly,Alibaba and SAIC jointly funded the research and development of Zhiji automobile.Entrepreneurial activities have become an important way for existing enterprises to identify and utilize opportunities,realize the change of their own value system,and create and maintain their own excellent competitive advantage.However,in reality,not all enterprises can maintain their entrepreneurial passion,constantly innovate and forge ahead,and maintain their competitiveness in the industry.For example,Kodak,Nokia and other enterprises failed to grasp the development of the times and improve their innovation ability,which was finally eliminated by the market.In the era of digital economy,how to maintain the enterprise’s long-term entrepreneurial passion,innovate continuously,realize the business digital transformation,and then improve the company’s entrepreneurial performance has become a problem that many enterprises must solve.It is one of the important factors for enterprises to grasp the advantages and disadvantages of their resources in the process of rapid competition.It is important for enterprises to identify the advantages and disadvantages of their resources and carry out their competitive activities.Facing the fleeting entrepreneurial opportunities,enterprises cannot provide systematic resources for the company’s entrepreneurial activities immediately.The transfer of redundant resources on hand has the characteristics of fast,low cost and high familiarity of managers,and has become an important resource source for the company’s entrepreneurial activities.However,from the perspective of resource-based theory,redundant resources do not have the value or scarcity they emphasize.In addition,having resources is not equivalent to being able to start a business,Resource holding does not necessarily translate into corporate entrepreneurial performance.The utilization and arrangement of resources determines whether the corporate entrepreneurship can be carried out smoothly and the entrepreneurial performance.Resource patching can realize the examination of existing resources from different perspectives,fully tap and make use of the internal attributes of resources,help to control and utilize opportunities,provide resource buffer for the development of entrepreneurial activities,and improve the entrepreneurial performance of the company.Therefore,from the perspective of redundant resources and resource patchwork,this paper explores how enterprises can use resource patchwork to realize the transformation from redundant resources to corporate entrepreneurial performance.Specifically,firstly,this paper reviews and combs the research on existing organizational redundancy,resource Patchwork and corporate entrepreneurship,and summarizes the literature;Secondly,based on the principles of typicality,representativeness,consistency between theoretical objectives and case objects and replicability logic,Jinluo group and Jingzhi liquor industry are selected as case analysis objects,combs and analyzes the corporate entrepreneurship process of the two enterprises from the perspective of time sequence,identifies 11 corporate entrepreneurship activities,and takes them as the case analysis unit for further horizontal and vertical analysis.On this basis,it refines the theoretical proposition and constructs the theoretical model of this study.Finally,on the basis of the theoretical model,referring to the mature scale of the existing research,combined with the research theme,after consulting relevant experts and enterprise field research,determine the final questionnaire,combined with the theoretical propositions extracted from the existing research and case analysis,put forward relevant hypotheses,conduct empirical test with the help of SPSS and Amos,and testify the conclusion of the case analysis.Based on the horizontal and vertical cross case analysis of the case enterprise and the empirical analysis combined with the existing research,the research draws the following conclusions: the horizontal cross case analysis finds that both unabsorbed redundancy and absorbed redundancy contribute to the development of resource patchwork,so as to realize the transformation to the entrepreneurial performance of the company;Vertical cross case analysis shows that in the process of company entrepreneurship,unabsorbed redundancy and absorbed redundancy do not play an independent role,but interact.Unabsorbed redundancy provides resource support for leveraging and activating absorbed redundancy because of its high liquidity and strong liquidity,and promotes enterprises to carry out resource Patchwork and develop new uses of absorbed redundancy.Unabsorbed redundancy is embedded in the enterprise,Managers are familiar with and call quickly,especially the redundancy of human resources,which can play a great initiative and flexibly use the unabsorbed redundancy.The synergy between the two can give full play to the potential of resources and reshape the value of resources;Moreover,in different resource situations,there are different ways to improve entrepreneurial performance by patching up and developing redundant resources.In the product extension stage,we can realize the structure of redundant resources,and then realize the innovation of our own product series;In the stage of multi industry layout,realize the capacity-based development of redundant resources and layout multi industries with the help of patchwork;In the stage of industrial integration and complementarity,leverage the redundant resources,realize the complementarity of characteristic advantages between different industries,and build a diversified and complementary business ecosystem..The empirical test results show that redundant resources(absorbed redundancy and unabsorbed redundancy)have a significant positive impact on corporate entrepreneurial performance,and resource patchwork plays an intermediary role. |
