| For a long time, land pension has been one of the main pension security methods for farmers in my country, and farmers’ dependence on land has seriously restricted the development of my country’s rural land transfer market. With the gradual promotion of the rural social old-age security system and the continuous improvement of the rural land transfer market,it is not only helpful to further clarify the impact mechanism of rural social old-age insurance on land transfer,as well as the differences in this impact between different groups.Understanding the status quo of my country’s rural pension system and land pension can provide decision-making basis for improving the rural pension security system, and is conducive to clarifying the rural social pension insurance system and the policy effect of land transfer.Based on the 2018 China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data, this thesisdeeply analyzes the role of rural social endowment insurance on land transfer behavior.Firstly,on the basis of systematically reviewing the existing literature, starting from the theory of farmers’ behavior and related theories of land transfer, this thesis qualitatively analyzes the impact mechanism of rural social endowment insurance on land transfer behavior, and puts forward research hypotheses on this basis.Second, select "whether family members participate in insurance" and "whether the land is transferred out" to represent the participation status of rural social endowment insurance and the land transfer behavior of farmers’ households, and use the Probit model to empirically test the effect of rural social endowment insurance on land transfer behavior. On this basis, the family income structure and family non-agricultural entrepreneurship are introduced as mediating variables, and the internal impact mechanism is analyzed by constructing a mediating effect test model.Thirdly,in order to test the robustness of the empirical results and solve the possible endogeneity problems in the benchmark regression model, the “provincial social endowment insurance participation rate” was selected as the instrumental variable, and the IV Probit model was used to estimate the explanatory variables.Replaced with "insurance rate of family members",replaced the model with the Logit model, and replaced the data with the CFPS 2016 data,in order to re-examine the relationship between rural social endowment insurance and land transfer behavior. Finally, the heterogeneity of the impact of rural social endowment insurance system on land transfer behavior is compared and analyzed from four aspects: age, gender, region and government subsidy amount. The research conclusions show that: first, after controlling for the influencing factors at the individual, family and village levels, rural social endowment insurance will still have a significant positive impact on land transfer behavior, that is,participation in rural social endowment insurance will promote rural households to make land purchases. The decision to transfer out;secondly, rural social endowment insurance has a clear transmission mechanism for land transfer behavior, rural social endowment insurance improves the probability of farmers’ land transfer by changing the family income structure and promoting non-agricultural entrepreneurship;finally, rural social endowment insurance There is heterogeneity in the effect of insurance on land transfer behavior, and the effect is more pronounced in households with household heads under 60 years old, male household heads, eastern and central regions, and provinces and regions with high government subsidies. Finally, the following policy suggestions are put forward: first, establish an integration mechanism between social endowment insurance and land transfer;second, promote the transfer of agricultural labor to the non-agricultural sector;third, formulate differentiated policies and systems;fourth, add financial subsidies of large local governments. |
