Study On Safe Drug Use Behavior And Influencing Factors Of Vegetable Growers In Shandong Province

With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,people pay more and more attention to the quality and safety of food.As indispensable vegetables in daily dishes,the quality and safety brought by pesticide residues is also directly linked to human health,and the quality and safety of vegetables is also paid more and more attention.However,in recent years,food quality and safety problems occur from time to time,causing many negative impacts on the society.Vegetable growers are the first factor in vegetable production and their pesticide use behavior in vegetable planting can directly affect the quality and safety of vegetables.Pesticide is the main inputs in the process of vegetable production,can rise the insecticidal sterilization,weed control field,such as growth regulating effect,to ensure the normal growth of vegetables,but not reasonable,the use of unsafe lead people after eating vegetables poses a serious threat to health,and the natural environment such as soil,rivers will also bring to a certain extent because of the excessive use of pesticides.Therefore,whether vegetable growers can safely use drugs has been widely concerned by the society and academia.It is of great practical significance to study the behavior of safe drug use of vegetable growers and the factors influencing their behavior of safe drug use.In this paper,Shandong province,a famous vegetable growing province,was selected as the research object to explore the safety drug use behavior and influencing factors of vegetable growers in Shandong Province.Vegetable farmers in Jinan,Qingdao and Weifang of Shandong province were selected as the research objects,and descriptive statistical analysis was conducted from four aspects of individual characteristics,family management characteristics,drug application characteristics and cognitive characteristics of vegetable farmers.Based on rational farmer household theory,externality theory and sustainable development theory,and combined with the results of descriptive statistical analysis,nine indicators,such as age and education level,were selected and empirically analyzed by binary Logistic regression model and ISM model.The results of binary logistic regression model show that: Growers age,level of education,whether they will participate in farmers’ cooperatives,whether in vegetable planting technology training and know the situation of pesticide policy for vegetable farmers safe drug use behavior five indexes passed the test of significance,vegetable farmers income,vegetable planting area,whether for concurrent-business growers and vegetables planting of four indicators not through the test of significance;Among the indicators that passed significance test,age of vegetable growers had a negative impact on their safe drug use behavior,while education level,participation in farmer cooperatives,participation in vegetable planting technology training and understanding of pesticide policy had a positive impact on their safe drug use behavior.Five indicators that passed the significance test were put into the ISM model.The results showed that whether vegetable growers had participated in the training of vegetable planting technology and understood the pesticide policy was the first layer of the ladder structure,which were the surface factors influencing their safe drug use behavior.Whether vegetable farmers participate in farmer cooperatives is the second level of ladder structure,which is the middle level factor affecting their safe drug use behavior.The age and education level of vegetable growers are the third layer of the ladder structure,which are the deep factors influencing their safe drug use behavior.Based on the empirical analysis results,the following countermeasures and suggestions are put forward: 1.Provide technical guidance on safe drug use;2.Increase training in safe drug use;3.Raising awareness is not only important with scientific medicine;4.Implementation of green pesticide subsidy policy;5.Promote cooperative-based vegetable production models;6.Build a pesticide testing supervision mechanism.
