Under the background of "new infrastructure",information infrastructure undertakes the strategic task of spatial layout of modern economic system, and is an important engine to promote the upgrading of industrial structure. At present,China’s industrial economy is in the key stage of transition to high-quality development.High-tech manufacturing,as the leader in realizing industrial upgrading, has become an inevitable requirement to promote sustainable economic development by improving its total factor productivity. As the carrier of industrial production mode change, information infrastructure can play network externalities and multiplier effects, promote the flow of all kinds of high-quality resources between different regions, break the geographical boundaries of the space sense, form multiple information network belts radiating the surrounding areas,to speed up the circulation and accumulation of the elements of high-tech industry system, and promote the high technology manufacturing total factor productivity growth. Therefore,it is of theoretical and practical significance to study the influence of information infrastructure on total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing industry.Based on the information multiplication theory, network externality theory and total factor productivity theory, this paper discusses the relationship between information infrastructure and total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing from the perspective of technological progress and technical efficiency by sorting out relevant literature. It mainly analyzes that under the condition of marketization, information infrastructure affects the technological progress of high-tech manufacturing from promoting technological innovation and technology spillover, and affects the technical efficiency of high-tech manufacturing from optimizing resource allocation and saving cost.Using the panel data of 30 provinces from2008 to 2019,firstly,the evaluation index of information infrastructure is constructed, and the comprehensive score is measured and analyzed by entropy method.Secondly, the total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing is calculated by DEA-Malmquist index, and then the marketization level is selected as the threshold variable. The panel threshold model is used to empirically analyze the nonlinear impact of information infrastructure on total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing. The results show that there is a significant double threshold effect between information infrastructure and total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing, which is mainly reflected in that with the improvement of marketization level, the impact of information infrastructure on total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing presents an inverted "U" shaped nonlinear characteristic. When the information infrastructure is in the first interval(mar ≤ 3.260),there is a significant negative influence between the two,and the best marketization level interval is the second interval(3.260<mar ≤ 6.520).After crossing the second threshold of the marketization level of 6.520,the effect coefficient on promoting total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing weakened from 0.288 to 0.148.In the regional threshold regression analysis, the eastern and central and western regions also show an inverted "U" shaped development trend, and both passed the double threshold test.Thresholds in the East and central and western regions are 4.430 and 6.240,3.260 and 6.580,respectively.In the early stage of marketization, the effect of information infrastructure on total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing is negative. In the middle and high stage of marketization, the promotion effect of information infrastructure on total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing is gradually weakened, and there is a marginal diminishing effect. Finally, this paper proposes that information infrastructure should be improved according to different stages of marketization, especially pay attention to the application of the new generation of information technology in this field,so as to promote the information infrastructure to continuously contribute to the steady improvement of total factor productivity of high-tech manufacturing. In addition,it is proposed that the high-tech manufacturing in each region should choose the appropriate information infrastructure development strategy according to its location conditions and resource advantages, and build the high-tech manufacturing industry development mode driven by technological progress and technological efficiency.
