| Now,China’s economy is adjusting its growth drivers and optimizing its industrial structure. However, relying on investment and export to fuel economic growth is weak, and boosting domestic demand has become the key factor to drive China’s economic development.Faced with the uncertainties of the epidemic,China has proposed to stimulate domestic consumption.Consumption structure can effectively reflect residents’ consumption preferences, improve the consumption potential of residents. And the changing of the consumption structure is an important reference for upgrading the industrial structure. With the improvement of residents’ income and the change of life concept, the consumption structure is constantly adjusted. The demand-oriented adjustment of the industrial structure is an important content of the supply-side reform, and the driving effect of the consumption structure on the industrial structure is increasingly strengthened. Therefore, the study of residents’ consumption structure is of great significance to the upgrading of industrial structure and the expansion of domestic demand. At present, the research on the overall resident consumption structure is relatively mature, but on the whole,China’s economic development is extremely unbalanced. There are obvious regional differences in the consumption of residents in each region because of the large difference in income level, the distance between geographical locations and the very different cultural features. To study the consumption structure of residents in different regions can accurately grasp the consumption preference of residents in the region, focus on the layout of industries with large demand, meet the personalized needs of residents, and accurately improve the consumption willingness of residents. It will help expand consumer demand and further stimulate economic growth. Therefore, the study of consumption structure in tipical areas has become a new hot spot. There are eleven coastal provinces and cities in China’s mainland--Hebei,Liaoning,Shandong,Tianjin,Shanghai,Jiangsu,Fujian,Zhejiang,Guangxi,Guangdong and Hainan. The entire coastal area only accounts for 13% of the country’s land area, about 1.28 million square kilometers, but has a population of about 630 million, accounting for 45% of the country’s population. In 2020,coastal areas will generate about 54 trillion yuan of GDP,accounting for 53 percent of China’s GDP.And the per capita expenditure was 25,192 yuan,4,180 yuan higher than the national average. These 11 coastal provinces and cities are not only the land and sea convergence belt of China, but also the most economically developed regions in China. The region is not only highly concentrated in industry, but also in population. The urban and rural residents in this region have strong consumption power and high consumption level due to their high income level, which is the backbone driving the overall consumption level of Our country. Moreover, the proportion of rural population in China’s coastal areas is large, which can not be ignored. At the same time, because it can form a traction and linkage effect on the maritime Silk Road and China’s inland consumption structure through the upgrading of consumption structure, thus accelerating the construction of a double cycle pattern to form an important radiation and leading role. Therefore, this paper takes the consumption Data of urban and rural residents in11 coastal provinces and cities from 2015 to 2019 as the research object, and the consumption Data of urban and rural residents in 20 inland provinces and cities from2015 to 2019 as the reference object.Panel Data model is constructed according to the consumption function to measure the marginal consumption tendency of commodities. The differences and similarities of consumption structure among urban and rural residents in coastal provinces, urban residents in coastal provinces and rural residents in coastal provinces are compared and analyzed, and on this basis, some policy suggestions are put forward to layout strategic emerging industries in key consumption fields, strengthen and enhance the modernization level of China’s industry and expand domestic demand. |
