Research On The Influence Of Industrial Convergence On TFP Of China’s Equipment Manufacturing Industry

Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy,after experiencing a stage of rapid growth,is gradually moving toward the "new normal" of high-quality development,and China’s manufacturing industry has entered a new stage of moving toward the middle and high-end.As the core of the manufacturing industry,the equipment manufacturing industry still has the problem of insufficient innovation ability and "bottleneck" of core technology under the urgent demand of high-quality development,which seriously restricts the industrialization process of China.In order to break through the bottleneck of traditional equipment manufacturing,we must seek a new way out.At the same time,due to the rapid development of information network and the high permeability of information technology to traditional industries,the integration of equipment manufacturing industry and information industry has become a new trend of its future development.Based on the panel data of seven sub-industries of equipment manufacturing industry from 2001 to 2018,this paper measures the industrial integration degree through the input-output method,uses the three-stage DEA model to measure and decompose the total factor productivity of equipment manufacturing industry,establishes the dynamic panel data model and the intermediary effect model,and adopts the dynamic GMM estimation method.This paper empirically examines the influence of industrial convergence on the total factor productivity and its decomposition in equipment manufacturing industry and the internal mechanism of industrial convergence to improve the total factor productivity and its decomposition in equipment manufacturing industry.The results show that industrial convergence has a direct effect on the improvement of total factor productivity,technological progress rate and scale efficiency of equipment manufacturing industry.Innovation capability and cost play different mediating roles in the process of industrial convergence affecting the total factor productivity and decomposition of equipment manufacturing industry.In the process of studying the impact of industrial convergence on the total factor productivity of equipment manufacturing industry,not only the impact of industrial convergence on the total factor productivity,but also the impact of its decomposition are studied,which provides new evidence for the research on the effect and mechanism of industrial convergence in equipment manufacturing industry.
