There is a large regional in Inner Mongolia.Its natural resources,especially the mineral resources which is the industrial required,is very rich.So it can support sufficient energy to industrial development in our country.As a national production of heavy industry,the level of manufacture of making equipment directly affects the level of economic development in our country and the national defense construction in long-term.In recent years,Inner Mongolia government energetically encourages local enterprises to introducing new technology,in order to enhancing ability of innovation and transformation of technology,in the largest extent,that can improve the output and technology for producing.Following the trend of development,the manufacture of making equipment gradually shifts to the western region,it is a great opportunity for developing the manufacture of making equipment in Inner Mongolia.The government of Inner Mongolia combined with the regional characteristics and advantages,keeping up with the development of The Times,maked the equipment manufacturing becoming the key of industry,and putting forward relevant policy to support the development of equipment manufacturing.But at the same time,equipment manufacturing industry widely has the problems of low input,high output,high energy consumption,low efficiency.So the sustainable development becomes the inevitable requirement of the industry.However,to make the economic growth from the "extensive" to "intensive",it must to improve the total factor productivity.If total factor productivity in a low level for a long time,it can't upgrade the equipment manufacturing and maintain its sustainable development is impossible.Therefore,the research of total factor productivity of manufacture of the equipment in Inner Mongolia is very important.This thesis' researching object is the total factor productivity of equipment manufacturing in Inner Mongolia.Firstly,I analyzed the current situation and main problems of the equipment manufacturing in Inner Mongolia which based on the analysis of the related research at home and abroad in the thesis.Secondly,I selected the level of industrialization,the support of capital,the capital of talent,the investment of R&D level and ownership as five aspects,and used three stage DEA to measuring the manufacture of equipment's and its child industry's technical efficiency in Inner Mongolia from 2010 to 2014.Meanwhile,I selected the top 5 in the equipment manufacturing in our country to compare with Inner Mongolia.Thirdly,I adopted the adjusted input data from the three stage DEA,using the Malmquist productivity index to measuring the change of total factor productivity and disassembling it,for researching the tend of change in Total factor productivity,technical progress and technical efficiency in the industry and its children industry in Inner Mongolia,to understand the characteristics of development.Finally,according to the research results of total factor productivity in Inner Mongolia and the influence of external environment factors on the technical efficiency,I puted forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.It maked clear that compared with better provinces,the low efficiency of scale is the main factors to restricting the level of technical efficiency of the industry in Inner Mongolia.But the ownership,the capital of talent and the investment of R&D has positive effects to improve technical efficiency.The total factor productivity of equipment manufacturing in Inner Mongolia roughly has the same trend;the change of technical efficiency is mainly affected by scale efficiency;equipment manufacturing didn't form the accumulative effect.
