The sudden arrival of the new crown epidemic in 2020 had a serious impact on China’s and even the global economic development,and all industries and people’s daily lives suffered tremendous damage,and the impact of the epidemic caused the survival and development environment of SMEs to become even worse.With the development momentum of the domestic epidemic quickly curbed and the foreign epidemic intensifying,under the dual influence of the epidemic-induced panic and the epidemic prevention and control policy,the overseas demand has been significantly reduced,and the export business of some SMEs in China has experienced a serious decline,and some SMEs have suffered serious damage to their business conditions,especially the survival and development of outward-oriented SMEs facing severe challenges.In this regard,under the background of regular epidemic prevention and control,it is especially urgent to analyze how SMEs should learn from the lessons of this epidemic and effectively prevent and solve more global risk challenges,especially how to analyze and study the transformation strategies of China’s export-oriented SMEs.This article selects AFD,a representative outward-oriented SME in the electric towel rack segment of China’s bathroom HVAC industry,as the object of study.Combined with the current situation of the electric towel rack segment,a series of strategic analysis tools such as PEST and the five forces model are used to specifically analyse the internal and external environment of AFD,point out the strengths and weaknesses of AFD at present,point out the opportunities and threats faced by AFD,and analyse alternative transformation and adjustment strategies through the SWOT matrix.Based on the above analysis,the QSPM was used to evaluate alternative strategic options and to finalise AFD’s relevant diversification and transformation strategies.On this basis,the four specific ideas of market layout,product structure,technology application and sales channels of AFD’s transformation strategy are proposed,and the smooth implementation of AFD’s diversification strategy is ensured from organization management,system system,financial guarantee,information construction and corporate culture.The establishment of AFD’s new development pattern of "double cycle" promotes AFD’s sustainable long-term development,and also gives a certain theoretical guidance and reference to the transformation of similar bathroom HVAC SMEs under the influence of the epidemic. |
