Abstract/Summary:
The transformation of China’s agricultural land transfer market is a major reality, which has a far-reaching impact on the regional planting structure. The "non grain" or "grain tendency" of planting structure is a hot topic in academic circles.Based on this, this paper takes the five karst provinces and regions in Southwest China as the research area, uses the2019 karst rural economic survey data(CKRS)of Guizhou University to realistically describe the transformation of agricultural land transfer market and farmers’ planting behavior, uses Logit and Tobit model for empirical test, and further combined with the case analysis of Langdai Town,Liuzhi special district,Guizhou Province,to explore the impact of agricultural land transfer market transformation on agricultural planting structure. The results show that:(1)at present, the agricultural land transfer market in southwest karst area is changing from acquaintances to non acquaintances, from free transfer, that is,zero rent to paid transfer, and from informal oral contract to formal transfer contract. The agricultural land transfer market in this area is in the stage of transformation.(2)The empirical model estimates that the transfer of non acquaintances, paid transfer and signing contracts will promote the transfer of household planting of cash crops, and tend to expand the planting area of cash crops, indicating that this transformation of agricultural land transfer market promotes the "non grain" of agricultural planting structure in southwest karst area to a certain extent.(3)The case study of Langdai town in Liuzhi special district shows that the government actively guides the transfer of agricultural land and promotes the transformation of agricultural land transfer market. The main body of agricultural land inflow is to maximize business benefits, and there is also a tendency of "non grain",which may have a negative impact on regional food security.According to the above conclusions, the following suggestions are put forward: the first is to strengthen the cultivation of new agricultural business entities, the second is to establish a agricultural land transfer trading market, the third is to promote the organic connection between small farmers and the development of modern agriculture, and the fourth is that the southwest karst area should develop agriculture according to local conditions.
