Research On Challenges And Countermeasures In Sino-russian Energy Cooperation From The Perspective Of "the Belt And Road"

Energy issue is the common concern of all countries,involving political,economic and military aspects.Energy security is related to the strategic decision of a country and the trend of international relations.In the process of global economic integration,the relationship between countries is increasingly close,and the uncertainty of world politics and economy is also increasing day by day.Nowadays,traditional energy resources are increasingly scarce and energy strategies are becoming more and more important.China is a big energy consumer,and its rapid development needs a lot of energy.To solve the problem of energy shortage,China must ensure the stability of energy supply.The close relationship with Russia in energy cooperation plays an important role in guaranteeing China’s energy security,maintaining national stability and improving China’s status in the international community.Russia’s vast energy reserves give it a crucial position in the global energy supply chain.A healthy and sustainable energy partnership with China can not only bring substantial economic benefits,but also leverage China’s economic and technological advantages in energy exploration and infrastructure development.As neighboring countries,China and Russia enjoy obvious geographical advantages in energy cooperation and have great development potential in energy cooperation.The proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2013 has created better conditions for All-round cooperation between China and Russia,especially energy cooperation between the two countries.From the perspective of "One Belt and One Road",this thesis reviews and summarizes the history and current situation of energy cooperation between China and Russia.The strategic basis of Sino-Russian energy cooperation is described from the perspectives of geopolitical strategy and energy strategy.It analyzes the various constraints of the United States on the energy cooperation between China and Russia,the negative effects of European energy demand in the cooperation between China and Russia,and the apparent challenges of Japan and South Korea in competing for market shares in the energy cooperation between China and Russia.There are unstable factors in the regions along the Belt and Road,hidden challenges of different interest demands between the Eurasian Union and the Belt and Road,and expansibility challenges of interconnected political game and energy game,and slowing progress in energy technology that restrict the cooperation process.It also puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from the perspectives of promoting the strategic docking of Sino-Russian energy cooperation,expanding the strategic channels of Sino-Russian energy cooperation and enhancing the international competitiveness of Chinese energy companies.
