In recent years,the disposable deposits of Chinese residents have continued to increase.Under the background of institutional dividends,open regulatory policies,and diversified investment needs,asset management businesses have gradually been recognized by the market,and businesses have developed rapidly.However,with the development and expansion of the business,product problems gradually appeared,serious product homogenization,lack of innovation motivation,there is no effective management system at the level of business governance,Asset management business has entered a homogenized development environment.In 2018,the People’s Bank of China and other regulatory authorities jointly issued measures for the management of assets and wealth management services,and put forward higher standards and regulations on the sales management,asset investment,risk control,business strategy,and operating system of the asset management business.Requirement,asset management business will standardize the road of transformation of management and operation.Among the big asset management businesses,the asset management business of commercial banks occupies an important position.Under this background,the asset management business of XX Bank has achieved rapid development.However,in the face of the new rules on asset management and financial management,XX Bank has made full use of its advantages to overcome its disadvantages and developed a competitive strategy in line with the current business development,taking a development path that suits its own characteristics,and formulating a scientific business competition strategy are the most important issues currently facing.This paper selects XX bank as the research object,uses the competitive strategy theory and Porter’s five forces model,comprehensively analyzes the internal and external environment of XX bank’s asset management business,determines the differentiated competitive strategy of its asset management business,and puts forward specific implementation measures and implementation guarantee for the differentiated competitive strategy.The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the research background,research purpose and significance,and combs the research methods,research content and framework.The second part is the theoretical basis and literature review.The theoretical basis of this paper is competitive strategy theory and Porter’s five forces model;It combs the literature on the research status of competitive strategy and asset management business.The third part is the general situation of XX bank and the current situation of competitive strategy of asset management business,mainly introduces the general situation of XX bank and its asset management business,and summarizes the current situation of competitive strategy of asset management business.The fourth part is the analysis of the competitive environment of XX bank’s asset management business.The external environment analysis is mainly carried out through three aspects:macro environment analysis,industry environment analysis and current main competitors analysis;The internal environment is mainly analyzed from two aspects:the current enterprise resources and the enterprise attainable ability.The fifth part is the competitive strategy analysis and selection of XX bank’s asset management business,using SWOT analysis tools to analyze the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats of asset management business,and finally determine the differentiated competitive strategy of XX bank after studying and analyzing the competitive strategy of XX bank’s asset management business by using Michael Porter’s three basic competitive strategy theories.The sixth part is the implementation of the competitive strategy of XX bank’s asset management business,which is implemented through four aspects:customer differentiation,product differentiation,market expansion differentiation and brand construction differentiation.The seventh part is the implementation guarantee of competitive strategy,and puts forward the organization,talent,capital and system guarantee in the implementation process of competitive strategy.The eighth part is the research conclusion and research prospect of this paper.Through the research on the competitive strategy of XX bank’s asset management business,this paper defines the final research conclusion,points out the shortcomings of this research,and prospects the follow-up research.The research content of this article can enrich the scope of the existing commercial bank competitive strategy theory research,and at the same time can clarify the target positioning of asset management business of XX bank,and provide clear new direction and purpose.By chance,there are many commercial banks in local cities in China,through in-depth research on the competitive strategy of XX Bank’s asset management business,commercial banks in similar cities can learn from the conclusions obtained this time,which has very important reference value.
