Research On The Influence Of Inter-Provincial Trade Deficit On The Economic Growth Of Yunnan Province

In recent years,the economic growth rate of Yunnan Province has slowed down.Based on the expenditure method of national economic accounting,this paper has calculated the contribution of various factors to the economic growth of Yunnan Province since the reform and opening up,and found that the continuous growth of inter-provincial trade deficit has offset the international trade surplus.As a result,net exports have a negative impact on economic growth.By comparing the international trade balance of Yunnan Province with the inter-provincial trade balance,it is found that the inter-provincial trade deficit of Yunnan Province continues to grow on a large scale,which has become a key factor restricting the economic growth of Yunnan Province.In this context,it is particularly important to clarify the impact of Yunnan’s inter-provincial trade deficit on economic growth and to manage the inter-provincial trade deficit.According to the input-output table of Yunnan Province in 2007 and 2017,this paper decomposes the inter-provincial trade deficit and finds that the inter-provincial trade deficit continues to occur in the secondary industry,accounting for the largest and fastest growth rate,and its negative contribution to economic growth offsets the primary and tertiary industries.positive contribution from the surplus.Further decomposing the transfer-out industries,it is concluded that the transfer-out departments of Yunnan Province are relatively single,mainly agricultural products and light industrial products transferred out;the transfer-in products are mostly industrial products,especially heavy industrial products;the industrial industries with high transfer-out amount are more likely to transfer-in.Dependency is also high.Then,by compiling the non-competitive input-output table of Yunnan Province in 2007 and 2017,the intermediate use data of transferred products was obtained,and the transfer rate and intermediate utilization rate were used to further measure the impact of Yunnan Province’s inter-provincial trade deficit on various departments.Provincial industry products depend on transfer in supply and production.The persistent and large-scale inter-provincial trade deficit reflects the overall weak industrial competitiveness of Yunnan Province.Based on the negative contribution of Yunnan Province’s trade deficit to economic growth,this paper uses the SDA decomposition method to decompose the consumption upgrade situation of Yunnan Province’s transfer to the market from 2007 to 2017,and combines the current situation of industrial development to propose how to reduce the inter-provincial trade deficit in Yunnan Province.The following suggestions are made: First,take the domestic market as the orientation,cultivate advantageous and characteristic industries,and enhance the transfer capacity;second,focus on the demand,make up for the shortage of supply,increase the added value of the industry,and reduce external dependence;Promote the transformation and upgrading of local industries...
