Study On The Industrial Development Of Water Chestnut In Guitou Town,Ruyuan County

General Secretary Xi proposed to implement the rural revitalization strategy at the19 th CPC National Congress.Industry is the key to rural revitalization.Achieving industrial prosperity is crucial to promote rural development.Planting water chestnut as a traditional sideline for increasing the income of farmers in Guitou Town has a long history of cultivation.And planting water chestnut has gradually become an indispensable industry to promote the economic development of Guitou Town.The rapid development of water chestnut planting industry in Guitou Town has made a great contribution to increasing farmers’ income and increasing local income.It’s a great significance to develop the industrial development of water chestnut in Guitou Town and promote the rural revitalization of Guitou Town.So that,this thesis studies the water chestnut planting industry base on the perspective of industrial development,and summarizes its experience and draws its lessons of the industrial development of water chestnut in Guitou Town Ruyuan County.At the same time,it is expected to provide some suggestions for the industrial development of water chestnut in Guitou Town Ruyuan County.Firstly,this thesis adopted the method of consulting the literature to understand the relevant theories of industrial economics and the current situation and development dynamics of industrial development at home and abroad.Secondly,adopting field visits,questionnaire survey and data collection as the main methodologies combined with the actual situation of growing Chinese water chestnut in Guitou Town,this study aimed at discovering and solving problems in the present situation on the industrial development of Chinese water chestnut in Guitou Town.By studying in production,processing and sales of water chestnut,we found that the shortage of technical personnel in production,high labor cost and low degree of mechanization had led to the insufficiency of product supply.Moreover,the low product added value,single industrial structure,deficient processing enterprises,as well as the insufficiency of leading enterprises and government support had contributed to this situation.Besides single sales mode,imperfect logistics facilities and cost,weak brand awareness were the problem in the sale link.Finally,by using the case-analysis method,studying and learning from the useful experience of American and Japanese potato industry development and domestic water chestnut industry development of Lipu County Guangxi and Baihu Town Anhui Province to put forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the industrial development of water chestnut in Guitou Town Ruyuan County.Firstly,at the production link of water chestnut,one of the measures to be executed is to add technical guidance and support,improve the technical level and productive efficiency.Then,optimizing industrial structure and giving full play to government functions is what we should do at the processing link of water chestnut.Finally,at the sell link of water chestnut,resource should be made rational integrated and the facility system should be improved.Therefore,building the brand effect,so that the market of water chestnut will be continuously expanded.And then making the industrial development of water chestnut in Guitou Town become better and faster in order to achieve industrial prosperity,rural revitalization,rapid development of agricultural and rural modernization as soon and well as possible.
