| Economic growth is the basis of the improvement of economic welfare,but with the improvement of economic development level,the role of economic growth in promoting welfare has been questioned more and more.The empirical results of most countries also show that there is a "threshold effect" between the level of welfare and economic growth.But at present,the research on the relationship between China’s welfare improvement and economic growth is insufficient.In this context,the paper uses the Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare(ISEW)to represent the economic welfare situation.Based on the measurement of China’s economic welfare,it discusses the regional differences of economic welfare,and further analyzes the "threshold effect" of economic growth and economic welfare.Firstly,the Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare of China is constructed,which is used to measure the economic welfare of 31 provinces in China from 2000 to 2017.The results show that the sustainable economic welfare shows a trend of growth,especially after 2009,but the differences of sustainable economic welfare among regions are more and more obvious.Secondly,using Gini coefficient to analyze the differences of sustainable economic welfare in the whole country and four regions,the results show that the overall sustainable economic welfare differences show "U" changes;the regional differences show a decreasing trend of "East-West-Middle-Northeast";the differences between the eastern region and the western region are the largest;the regional differences are the main factors affecting the overall differences of sustainable economic welfare.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the "threshold effect" between economic growth and sustainable economic welfare by using the GMM regression regression model.The results show that economic growth has a significant role in promoting economic welfare,but there is no "threshold effect" between China’s welfare improvement and economic growth,On this basis,the "threshold effect" between economic growth and sustainable economic welfare level is further analyzed based on the "decoupling-coupling" model.The results show that each province will appear decoupling state in some years,but the whole two basically show coupling state.Finally,the paper puts forward some policy suggestions to promote the sustainable economic welfare from the aspects of further promoting economic growth,strengthening the basic investment in science,education,culture and health,improving the ecological environment,etc. |
