In the process of human-computer interaction,mode switching is a common operation,that is,switching from the current working mode to other working modes,or switching different sub modes in the same mode.When users are performing mode switching,they often need to interrupt the ongoing operation in the operation area and then click the target command in the command selection area to complete the switching.This type of operation is not only extremely prone to time waste,but also frequent operations due to factors such as distance can bring a certain sense of fatigue to the user.In addition,Due to the large number of switching commands in various tasks and their distribution in specific areas of the work interface,there is also a certain waste of workspace space.In order to solve the problems of mode switching,this topic adopts a familiar touch method for users,utilizes the advantages of multi touch,proposes a mode switching strategy and designs new mode switching techniques to improve the user’s mode switching ability and interaction efficiency on the touch screen.This topic proposes two switching strategies: primary and secondary strategy and dynamic mapping strategy.The primary and secondary strategie is to display the switching commands in the command selection area near the operating point,reducing the movement distance of the fingers,which is suitable for situations with relatively large operating area space.The dynamic mapping strategy indirectly shortens the distance between the operating point and the target command by dynamically mapping the cursor to the position of the command selection area,which is suitable for situations with relatively small operating area space.Under the primary and secondary strategy,based on the number of switching commands,single hand circular switching technique,double hand circular switching technique,single hand sector switching technique,and double hand sector switching technique are designed.Under the dynamic mapping strategy,single hand dynamic mapping switching technique and double hand dynamic mapping switching technique are designed,and compared the performance of the newly designed technique with the commonly used click switching technique.The results show that the new mode switching techniques designed under two strategies are superior to the click switching technique in terms of mode switching speed,accuracy,and subjective evaluation.Although the false trigger rate is slightly higher than the click switching technique,the overall performance is superior to the click switching technique,improving the user’s performance in mode switching operations to varying degrees.Moreover,the new mode switching technique has shown relatively good learning effects in terms of mode switching time,error rate,and false trigger rate,indicating that with the increase of training times,the performance of the new mode switching technique will be better,bringing better interactive experience to users.Finally,according to the characteristics of the new mode switching technique under the primary and secondary strategy and dynamic mapping strategy,the strategy for the use of touch oriented mode switching technique are given,and several application scenarios using the new mode switching technique are listed,providing a reference basis for the design of touch oriented mode switching technique. |
