| Education,as the primary function of modern museum,is highly concerned by museum practitioners and visitors.With the rapid development of museums,museums in Guizhou province have also made some achievements in social and educational practice.But at the same time,facing the increasing spiritual and cultural needs of the audience,there is still room for improving the social and educational functions of museums in Guizhou province.The article takes museum social education as the main research.Firstly,by combing the development and characteristics of museum social education and interpreting the policies related to the development of museum social education in China in the new era,and based on the previous research results,six museums in Guizhou province with high reputation,such as Class I and Class II museums,were selected as the research objects by using field surveys,data collection,questionnaires and interviews,respectively,to explore the performance of museum social education activities at the The study explores the performance of social education function of museums in Guizhou province at the level of social education activities and the evaluation of the effect of social education activities by visitors.Secondly,focusing on the social education activities of primary and secondary museums in Guizhou,we conclude that: first,the effectiveness of the social education function of museums in Guizhou is mainly reflected in the formation of a series of social education themes with regional characteristics,ethnic history temporary exhibitions,thematic forums and lectures,classroom museum workshops and research,and social education programs such as the four activities: second,the current social education function is still influenced by the perception of educational function.The second is that the function of social education is still negatively affected by insufficient knowledge of educational functions,inadequate conversion of collection resources,thin level of social education talents,solidified educational contents and forms,incomplete public service facilities,and unsound information feedback from visitors.Finally,based on the above analysis,the article draws on the essence of museum education theory,incorporates new trends in future development,Guizhou’s regional cultural characteristics,and draws on the social education practice of other museums to propose strategies for improving the social education function of museums in Guizhou province from the following aspects:enriching the themes of social education programs,enhancing interactive experiences in museums,emphasizing communication with visitors,and optimizing the layout and services of museums,and services.This study aims to enrich the themes and types of museum social education activities and enhance the effective performance of museum social education functions. |
