With the development of Internet technology and the continuous improvement of short video platform,Tiktok "sad" short video shows a blowout trend.With a strong user base and simple and convenient operation,the Tiktok platform provides a visible and comprehensive presentation for emotional arousal,transmission and acceptance.Therefore,the research on Tiktok’s "sad" short videos in this study can provide some suggestions for the content production and dissemination of Tiktok’s short videos,which are authentic "sad" media;At the same time,exploring the issue of emotional communication and its causes,and seeking reasonable solutions in the process of analyzing the reasons,also provides certain reference ideas for the healthy development of short video platforms in China.This paper uses short video text analysis and network ethnography methods to investigate Tiktok "sad" short videos.It is found that the micro emotional transmission symbol content and the macro emotional transmission path together complete the emotional transmission process of Tiktok "sad" short videos.At the micro level,the formation of emotional elements is based on four symbol systems,including written language symbols,auditory language symbols,visual symbols,and body symbols;And it also constructs an emotional community through the dual axis operation of "weakness" and personalized symbols,and the construction of symbol content is completed through the metaphor of pain symbols and self redemption.On the macro level,the Tiktok "grief" short video interactive ceremony is composed of "four ritual states",namely,the main interactive motivation,common presence,organizational system,and focus of attention;The result of interactive rituals is the "three emotional directions",namely emotional energy,social relationships,and emotional ritual markets.In order to verify the transmission effect of Tiktok "sad" short videos,through semi-structured interviews,it is concluded that its emotional transmission effect is mainly divided into three aspects: cognitive effect,emotional attitude effect,and behavioral effect.However,at the same time,the emotional transmission of Tiktok "sad" short videos still has such problems as emotional inducing "symbol consumption",irrational features in emotional interaction,and excessive emotional symbol selection.Therefore,it is also necessary to manage and co build with multiple parties.
