| In recent years, the evolution of values and self-identity of youth groups under the influence of social media has gradually become the focus of academic research. However,on the specific issues of research, individual micro-narratives often give way to grand narratives or public narratives, thus lacking the ability to construct identity.main body of the community–the concerns of the youth group itself. On the other hand, the plight of self-identity among young people reflects practical problems such as solidified social structure, accelerated pace of life, and dislocation of psychological concerns.Interacting with others through social media platforms has become a channel for individuals to reshape their self-identity.The "Pu Tong Xue" group is a representative field for young people to construct self-identity through online interaction.Members in the group gradually form a virtual social relationship network of "mutual assistance through interaction" through the trust mechanism established based on the interest relationship, with the central members as nodes,so that individuals can re-understand themselves in the environment of peer mutual assistance, and realize The purpose of "realizing recognition through mutual assistance".This study will start from the perspective of the overall relationship network and the environment in which individuals live, discuss how to achieve mutual assistance and how to construct identity in the "Pu Tong Xue" group, and analyze the motivations for peer mutual assistance and the challenges faced by self-identity dilemma, and look forward to the identity of youth groups in virtual communities. This research mainly uses quantitative analysis methods, including social network analysis, text data mining and cluster analysis, etc.,supplemented by necessary symbolic and rhetorical analysis methods when it comes to text analysis. At the theoretical level,it mainly focuses on Giddens’ self-identity theory and Burke’s identity control theory. The former mainly focuses on the subjectivity recursion and social factors of self-identity,while the latter emphasizes the internal movement process of identity construction and sorts out the peer-to-peer theory.Logical issues between mutual aid and self-identity.At the social level, this study will start from the difference between the structural meaning of "ordinary" in the group and its original meaning with the symbolic matrices, and explore the cultural, value and social evaluation system attributions of the youth group’s lack of self-identity.The study found that the social network in the "Pu Tong Xue" group is constructed with a small number of users who are management members and a number of star users as the main nodes, with weak links as the main feature, but the reciprocity of the connections between members of the group is strong, and the control, coverage, and influence of the central subgroup on the overall network are more significant;the mutual aid behavior among members starts from the discussion of four different narrative themes of life, emotion, identity, and competition; The four response narrative frameworks of emotion, guidance and negation are used as the way of helping, and after the completion of the mutual helping behavior, the help-seekers will realize the transformation from being helped to helping under the influence of the improvement of social network status;the self-identity crisis of members in the group It is mainly derived from the three aspects of merit evaluation system, consumerism, and the ideological trend of "Tang Ping",while self-identity is mainly based on the transformational interpretation of the concept of "ordinary" as a starting point, and is determined by identifying standards, inputting identity concepts, and comparing people. The four links of participation and output of identification results realize identification construction. The article also found that the impact of peer mutual aid on self-identity construction in the "Pu Tong Xue" group mainly focused on three aspects: mutual aid environment, mutual aid behavior and mutual aid results.Among them, the mutual aid environment mainly affects the construction of identity through the characteristics of the "Pu Tong Xue" group as a group of interests and the characteristics of the individual’s interpersonal world;the mutual aid behavior promotes self-identity through the promotion of the individual’s status in the relationship network and the motivation of network altruistic behavior Construction;the impact of mutual aid results on self-identity construction is mainly reflected in the adjustment and revision of ontological cognition and the imagination and expression of multiple selves. In the course of the research on the "Pu Tong Xue" group,we also found the negative impact of social media on the identity construction of youth groups, such as the high-pressure social environment created to mislead individuals’ social cognition and irrational expression on the youth group’s willingness to participate in interaction shock. Finally,it is hoped that through this study, the academic circle and the society will pay attention to the self-identity of youth groups under the background of China’s rapid development. |
