Cloud computing technology is developing rapidly, and enterprises at home and abroad have invested in the construction of cloud platforms. However, this type of project lacks scientific and systematic management methods, and overruns are more common, hindering the development process of the industry. This thesis combines the theoretical knowledge of project schedule management, takes the cloud project of Company B’s business system as the research object, and analyses and researches the schedule management in the process of project implementation. At the early stage of the project, the schedule was delayed, and the project schedule was optimized by using the CPM/PERT method to identify the critical path, and the schedule and the total duration of each task were recalculated by using the three-point estimation method,so as to provide support for the subsequent project schedule management. After the completion of the project, from the theoretical level, the project schedule was modified using the critical chain technique, and the data related to the project schedule before and after the modification were listed using the comparative analysis method.Due to the comprehensive consideration of resource allocation, project uncertainty and other factors by the critical chain method, and the setting of buffer zones, the purpose of reducing the schedule was finally achieved.Based on the example validation results and theoretical research, this paper clarifies the importance of project schedule management and proves that the critical chain technique can be applied to the subsequent construction of similar projects in the company.Meanwhile,it has good reference value and significance for the schedule management of other cloud construction projects.
