With the development of IoT technology and the popularity of webcams,the number and types of devices within the video surveillance network continue to increase,making asset management increasingly costly.Meanwhile,it is necessary to monitor the security of such devices because of the vulnerabilities of cameras.Automated identification of devices and anomalous traffic using machine learning techniques reduces manual identification costs,which helps in asset management and timely prevention of vulnerabilities.Therefore,we propose a Video Surveillance Network Device Identification and Security Monitoring System,which mainly includes the following aspects.Firstly,based on a supervised learning algorithm,this paper proposes a classification method that distinguishes between video class devices and nonvideo class devices,and provides coarse-grained classification for other common device types within the video surveillance network.We achieve this by analyzing the packets these devices produce and receive while monitoring them,then we extract features from which for identification.This enables device administrators to have an understanding of the distribution of device types within the network.Secondly,we propose an unsupervised algorithm-based recognition method to identify video class devices at a fine-grained level by extracting features from packets.We use DBSCAN to cluster,and find the hyperparameters that fit the model through experiment.This solves the problems of high workload of manually confirming devices and the flaws of supervised learning based techniques that fail to deal with unknown devices.Thirdly,we propose a traffic-based attack detection algorithm to identify anomalous traffic,and distinguish traffic between two typical attacks.The effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated by experimental results and feature-specific analysis.Finally,we design and implement the Video Surveillance Network Device Identification and Security Monitoring System,which uses a layered architecture.The system has implemented customized real-time packets acquisition,automated device identification,security alarms and other function.We tested the functions at the end of this passage,which proves the correctness and effectiveness of the scheme proposed in this paper.
