| The communication of emotions occupies an important position in people’s daily life,laying a solid foundation for promoting communication and understanding between people.In the increasingly competitive entertainment market,observation TV programs,as a type of program that is both entertaining and emotionally oriented,convey mainstream social values while demonstrating the program’s humanistic concern."See you again" explores the issue of marriage with a new perspective,which is not only a positive response and analysis of the high divorce rate in our society,but also a sharp innovation in the already saturated variety market.A successful TV variety show is not without interaction with the audience.According to American sociologist Randall Collins’ interaction ritual chains theory,the interaction between social members is a kind of ritualized behavior,in which people exchange identity symbols and obtain emotional energy,and emotional energy is one of the main values that this type of programs want to pass on to viewers.Therefore,this study takes the first season of "See you again " as the research object,introduces the perspective of emotional communication,and supplements it with the theory of interaction ritual chains.Based on the analysis of the program’s content,the following questions are mainly explored and answered:How does the emotional observation variety show elicit emotional resonance from the audience?How is the interaction ritual mechanism of the program formed?What is the value of "See you Again" for other programs?This paper will use text analysis and in-depth interview method to answer the above questions.After synthesizing theories and related studies,I find that:the emotion transmission process of observational TV programs basically conforms to the development path of interactive ritual chain theory:the virtual presence of viewers,common attention to the program,and strict partitioning of insiders and outsiders eventually generate common emotions are its constitutive elements.The program’s path of emotional communication is to evoke the viewers’ emotional experience,facilitate their emotional accumulation and enrich their online revelry,which results in the formation of the viewers’ long-term emotional resonance and the generation of group symbols for the program. |
