Abstract/Summary:
With the continuous renewal of modern electronic technology,the traditional rigid antenna has been unable to meet people’s requirements for antenna portability and flexibility,so the flexible stretchable antenna has been widely studied by researchers because of its portable,good flexibility,stretchable and bendable characteristics,The antenna can be designed with different structures according to different application scenarios,flexible stretchable antennas can be widely used in medical,sensing,national defense,wearable devices and other fields.This paper studies the fabrication process of stretchable antenna based on liquid metal and PDMS.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:1.Aiming at the research of stretchable antenna,a method of combining ANSYS Workbench mechanical simulation software and HFSS electromagnetic simulation software is proposed to study the antenna stretching deformation simulation,which solves the problem that HFSS software cannot obtain the nonlinear change of antenna stretching.Through the Workbench software simulation can obtain the antenna model is more close the real situation after antenna stretching deformation,and finally imported into HFSS through re-modeling to study the change of antenna performance after deformation,It provides support for the performance change of the antenna after being stretched to accurately predict the antenna structure designed in the future before fabrication.2.Using a high flexibility,low cost,easy to implement the technology of making the single liquid metal antenna,coplanar waveguide monopole antenna as the research object,PDMS film was prepared based on spin coating process,A layer of gallium indium liquid metal was coated on the PDMS film,and the liquid metal layer was encapsulated by pouring a layer of uncured PDMS solution with heating and curing.Three flexible and stretchable monopole antennas were designed,and stretchable simulation was carried out,subsequent fabrication and stretchable test were carried out.The test results of linear monopole antenna showed that the resonant frequency of the antenna shifted from 7.99 GHz to 6.99 GHz when the antenna was stretched to about 30%,it shows that the antenna can be used in the field of tension strain sensor and frequency reconfigurable antenna.The test results of serpentine monopole antenna show that when the antenna is stretched to 20%,the working frequency and bandwidth of the antenna basically remain stable,and there is no significant change,when the antenna is stretched to 30%,the working bandwidth of the antenna increases from 4.50GHz-4.95 GHz and 5.55GHz-8.7GGHz to 4.7GHz-8.6GHz.The test results of broadband antenna show that the working bandwidth of the antenna basically keeps stable at 5.45GHz-10 GHz during 10%-30%stretching process,indicating that the two antennas are suitable for wearable devices.The test results are in good agreement with the simulation results,which proves the feasibility of the stretchable simulation method.3.Based on the single liquid metal antenna technology,the making craft of multilayer structure antenna is studied,and the two layers of liquid metal structure of microstrip patch as the research object,the process is separately made two antenna structure of three layers,then two three layers structure from the back with no curing PDMS solution guled together to form five layers structure.A microstrip patch antenna is designed and manufactured,and tensile simulation and test are carried out on the microstrip patch antenna.The test results show that the resonant frequency of the antenna is4.75 GHz,5.05 GHz,4.7GHz and 4.55 GHz when the antenna is not stretched by 10%,20% and30%.The test results show that the microstrip patch antenna always maintains good performance in the stretchable process,and the stretchable simulation results are in good agreement with the stretchable test results.Therefore,the stretchable simulation method by HFSS and Workbench is also suitable for multi-layer structures.
