In the context of the rural revitalization strategy, agricultural tourism parks,as the core carrier for promoting rural industry revitalization and agricultural modernization, have ushered in a historic development opportunity.Using the tertiary industry to drive the innovation of primary and secondary industries, the creation of experiential agricultural landscape has become a key part of the planning and design of agricultural tourism parks, but the traditional planning and design methods have high requirements for the professional experience and spatial imagination of designers, who cannot predictably obtain objective data based on tourists’ needs as a basis for design in the design process..Therefore,it is of great significance to construct a set of planning and design methods based on tourists’ experience to guide the planning of modern agricultural gardens such as agricultural tourism parks. In order to explore a planning and design method based on tourists’ behavioral needs, the thesis is based on the methodological theory of "behavioral observation",using questionnaires and interviews to collect data, introducing the technical characteristics of interactivity, immersion and conceptualization of virtual reality technology into the planning and design of sightseeing tea garden space, and building a theoretical framework for the planning and design of sightseeing tea garden from the perspective of agricultural experience, and verifying its feasibility in practical operation through empirical research. In this paper, the results of the implementation of the planning and design methodology will be summarized in the following three sections, using the example of the Nine Province Royal Road Tea Culture Ecological Park:The first part, preliminary scheme design.Field research on the tea garden, visit the neighboring farmers to understand the residents’ willingness to develop, follow the local enterprises and university experts to collect information on the standing conditions of the tea garden, use aerial photography by drones, camera recording, manual measurement and other ways to statistics and collate the current data of the tea garden. After the preliminary design of the tea garden, the overall landscape layout plan of "one corridor, three zones and five gardens" of the Royal Road Tea Garden was formed,"one corridor" refers to the nine provinces of the Royal Road Cultural Walkway is the theme of cultural corridor through the whole garden, three experience zones are in the tea culture tasting area "smell the fragrance of tea",in the tea science and technology science area "to find the source of tea,in the tea landscape experience area "between the line of tea",five boutique garden including patchwork tea field, master tea garden, tea fruit picking garden, tea field garden, aroma garden.Functional zoning for the entrance and exit service area, nine provinces of the imperial road cultural district, tea science and technology science and technology, tea culture tasting area and garden tea field area five parts. The second part is the pre-experience of the virtual tea garden scene.Considering the need to balance "efficiency" and "effect" in building the scene model, the virtual tea garden scene in this study adopts Sketch Up software to build the digital model, and Twinmotion to build and render the scene to realize the tea garden scenario. In this study, the virtual tea garden scene was built by Sketch Up software, and the scene was constructed and rendered by Twinmotion,so that the tea garden scenes were digitally presented in 3D.On this basis, the HTC-VIVE series of head-mounted VR system is used as the medium of interaction between the visitors and the virtual tea garden scene, and the visitors’ experience of the entrance scheme, road system and main landscape nodes in the tea garden scheme is obtained by observing and recording the action pattern and action trajectory of the visitors during the experience, and combining with the post-experience interview or questionnaire survey.Among them,in the selection of the entrance scheme, the result that the B entrance scheme is more popular among tourists is obtained;in the evaluation of the road system, the result that tourists are prone to repeat visits in the intersection of primary and secondary roads with a higher number of path choices is obtained;in the rating of the main landscape nodes, the result that tourists have poor experience feelings and higher frequency of repeat visits in Yu qing Street is obtained. The third part, program adjustment and optimization.Based on the tourists’ action trajectory and post-experience feedback data, the parts of the preliminary plan of the sightseeing tea garden that do not conform to the tourists’ behavior habits are adjusted and optimized.Firstly, the B entrance scheme was chosen as the final scheme, and the openness of the entrance was increased, and a small distribution plaza was added to improve the accessibility and convenience of the entrance of the tea garden while separating pedestrian and vehicle traffic.Secondly,in response to the feedback from tourists after the experience of the road system is not clear and the signage system is not clear, from the optimization of the overall road hierarchy and to improve the guidance of the road space of specific sections of the two aspects, the overall road system of the tea garden to adjust and enhance the article. Finally, the street space enhancement plan for the key attraction of the program,"Yu qing Street",includes redesigning the vertical interface of the north elevation of the street, increasing the exit by raising the terrain, and increasing the signage and enriching the signage system. This study clarifies the shortcomings of the existing planning methods from the perspective of tourists’ needs, and constructs a virtual reality-based planning and design method for the tourist tea garden by introducing virtual reality technology as an auxiliary design tool into the planning and design method system.Expand the way of verifying the science of landscape planning and design schemes from purely relying on the professional experience of designers to professional perception of virtual scheme scenarios. In the process of planning the actual project scheme, this study confirms that the problem of mismatch between the spatial planning scheme of the experiential agricultural landscape and the behavioral needs of tourists can be solved to a certain extent, which provides useful insights into the planning and design of future agricultural experiential landscapes.
