Research On The Media Narrative Of Emotional Vertical Screen Dramas In The Context Of Mobile Communication

With the development of mobile internet,mobile smart terminals have gradually become popular,and the increase in the frequency of mobile phone usage has expanded the influence of vertical screen images.Due to the habit of holding a mobile phone with one hand to watch,compared with traditional horizontal screen images,vertical screen images are based on vertical composition and use lens scheduling to enhance the narrative function,thereby providing audiences with a unique aesthetic experience.In the current context of mobile communication,major video platforms such as Youku,iQiyi,and Tencent have seized this development opportunity and started creating vertical-screen dramas.iQIYI’s "Life Has Come to Me",Tencent’s "Tongling Concubine",and the PUGC content produced by Douyin and Kuaishou have been favored by the audience as soon as they are broadcast.The vertical screen drama is a brand-new image expression.It has become another outlet in its audio-visual field.As a classic type of vertical screen drama,emotional genre occupies a crucial position in the entire vertical screen drama industry.Since iQIYI launched the emotional vertical screen drama "Life is on Me" in 2018,emotional vertical screen dramas have gradually entered the public’s field of vision.With the unique advantages of the vertical screen format,emotional vertical screen dramas have gradually gained popularity among the public.favor.This article selects more than ten emotional vertical screen dramas broadcast since 2018,draws on the content of "narrative context" in "Digital Media Narrative Research" by Wang Zhenzi,and follows the principle of "macro perspective to micro analysis" as a whole.Relying on the background of mobile communication,with the framework of "traditional horizontal screen image and vertical screen-the influence of mobile communication on media characteristics and narrative style-narrative content-narrative perspective and structure-narrative language-criticism and enlightenment",it adopts The text analysis method and the case analysis method,combined with the above research,put forward thinking on the narrative research of emotional vertical screen dramas in the context of mobile communication.The structure of this paper is mainly discussed in six parts:First,it compares the vertical screen drama with the traditional horizontal screen image from a macro perspective.Realize linkage and cooperation in content and communication;the second is to analyze the narrative form,media characteristics and the influence of mobile communication on the narrative style of vertical screen dramas in the context of mobile communication from a macro perspective;the third,fourth,fifth and sixth parts are from the micro level.Starting out,I will discuss the narrative content,narrative perspective,narrative structure and narrative language respectively,and analyze the narrative logic of my narrative as a whole,and analyze the narrative language of vertical screen dramas in the context of mobile communication by comparing with traditional horizontal screen images.,from the visual system and auditory system to analyze the differences in the expression of its presentation;finally,on the basis of the previous research,the author summarizes the current shortcomings and enlightenment of emotional vertical screen dramas in the context of mobile communication.
