| With the continuous development of radio detection technology,radar,as the application of radio technology,has been applied more and more widely in military and civil fields because of its unique advantages of detecting target information by remote sensing.RORSE Lab,Wuhan university has developed a ship-borne S-band radar system based on the coherent wave measuring method.The system has obtained excellent experimental results in several shipborne wave measurement experiments,in order to achieve better performance and higher integration of radar hardware system,this thesis analyzed the existing ship-borne S-band radar hardware system,integrated the digital circuit in the radar hardware system,redesigned the hardware circuit module,designed the digital down-conversion algorithm in FPGA and designed a radar main board based on FPGA and DSP.It has both control and reception functions.The control function is to control the normal operation of the radar hardware system through the timing sequence control signal.The data acquisition function is to acquire the correct signal from the intermediate frequency echo signal generated at the front end of the RF receiver.Radar main board can adapt to the ship-borne S-band radar system with higher integration and better performance.This thesis firstly introduced the concept and functional characteristics of the radar main board,divided the circuit modules by the functional characteristics,secondly,this thesis introduced and compared the research status of radar motherboard and its key chips at home and abroad in detail.After that,this paper introduced the signal processing algorithm in the radar main board and the difficulties in FPGA design.According to the above analysis and the principle,this paper carried out the hardware design and software design of the radar main board.The hardware design includes the selection of chip parameters and the circuit around the chip and finally gives the PCB circuit design.The software design included the program flow of DSP and FPGA.After the completion of the design,the functional simulation of each module in FPGA was carried out with Modelsim and Matlab to verify that the algorithm design of each module of FPGA was correct.After the code synthesis and place and route by the Compile software,this thesis downloads the program to the designed radar main board hardware circuit board,set up a closed loop test environment and collect the output signal of FPGA module by Chipscope.It can be seen that the frequency of the baseband output signal is exactly the same as the calculated value,there is no other stray in the spectrum,and the output signal has high signal-to-noise radio.Finally,this paper carries out performance test for radar main board.It includes sensitivity test,power range test of input signal and closed-loop test.It can be seen from the test results that the radar main board has a high sensitivity,a wide input power range,and the range Doppler spectrum in the closedloop test has a high signal-to-noise ratio.Therefore,compared with the ship-borne Sband radar system,the radar main board designed in this paper has higher integration,stronger environment universality and better performance. |
