The ability to think critically is the basis of human intellectual creation and innovation,and the rational basis for forming correct values and emotional attitudes.The critical thinking ability of ideological and political courses refers to the ability to use methods such as comparison,deduction,and induction to analyze,demonstrate,and evaluate things and draw correct conclusions.An important goal of high school ideological and political courses is to encourage and cultivate students’ thinking ability,exercise and improve students’ thinking ability,which is also an important purpose of high school ideological and political course teaching.This paper adheres to the principle of combining theory and practice,follows the orientation of problems and countermeasures,grasps the current situation of the cultivation of critical thinking ability in high school ideological and political courses through empirical investigation on the basis of theoretical elaboration,conducts retrospective analysis,puts forward corresponding strategies,and displays lesson examples.The details are as follows:In the introduction part,the research background is clarified based on the reality of today’s social development and the requirements for the cultivation of core literacy in high school ideological and political courses,and the research significance is expounded from both theoretical and practical aspects.The current status of research at home and abroad was sorted out and summarized;The research ideas and innovative points of the paper are explained.The first part,on the basis of exploring the current research status of high school ideological and political courses,provides a basic theoretical exposition of critical thinking ability.Firstly,the concept of critical thinking ability is defined,and then the characteristics of the cultivation of thinking ability of high school ideological and political students are explained from four aspects: independence,profoundness,comprehensiveness and logic,and on this basis,the theoretical basis of the critical thinking ability of high school ideological and political course students is further explained.In the second part,this paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of cultivating students’ critical thinking ability in the teaching of ideological and political disciplines in colleges and universities according to the current situation of the development of students’ thinking ability in high school ideological and political disciplines.Among them,the necessity is mainly discussed from the objective needs of social development,the characteristics of students’ thinking development in the era of intelligent media,and the requirements for students’ thinking development in high school ideological and political courses.The feasibility part is explained based on the current development of society,the implementation of curriculum reform,and the characteristics of students’ thinking development.In the third part,based on the questionnaire surveys and interviews of students and teachers in high school ideological and political courses,the current situation of critical thinking ability in the implementation of high school ideological and political courses and its causes are analyzed.From the survey situation,it can be found that there are problems such as backward teaching methods of teachers,weakening of students’ main position,difficulty in implementing the teaching goals of speculation,and lack of scientific evaluation of critical thinking ability,which are due to teachers’ weak critical awareness,lack of student initiative,lack of teacherstudent interaction in the classroom,and single dimension of teaching evaluation.The fourth part further discusses the existing problems and puts forward corresponding countermeasures: First,strengthen the construction of teachers in ideological and political education courses,including updating teaching concepts,developing teaching materials and teaching methods.Second,use problem situations,teaching resources and encouraging teaching methods to stimulate students’ creative thinking.Third,create a good classroom atmosphere where students are bold,willing and good at thinking.Fourth,it focuses on the scientific nature of evaluation from the aspects of subject,method and content of evaluation.The fifth part,combined with relevant teaching theories,selects one of the four compulsory textbooks of high school ideology and politics as a case study for lesson study,and explores the application of critical thinking ability cultivation in actual teaching from the aspects of teaching design and teaching reflection,in order to provide some reference and inspiration for more teachers of high school ideological and political courses to fully understand the cultivation of students’ critical thinking ability and rationally use it.
