In recent years,reading the entire book has been a hot topic in primary education and teaching research.The new compulsory language curriculum standard includes reading the entire book in an expanded learning working group,providing front-line teachers with specific guidance on teaching to read the entire book.As a major literary genre,fairy tales open the door to children’s imaginative world through an interesting and vivid language,which has important value in shaping their childhood.However,there are currently teaching difficulties in reading the entire fairy tale book among middle and lower grade pupils;What are the reasons for these problems?How can we improve the teaching of the entire book? These issues require urgent research.Explain the 2022 language curriculum standards for compulsory education,sort out fairy tale texts in primary school language textbooks,and promote complete fairy tale reading both inside and outside the classroom by teaching a fairy tale in the classroom;Using two research methods,case analysis and interview methods,30 teaching cases and videos were grouped to determine the teaching issues of reading the entire fairy tale book in primary schools,Using interview methods,we will learn about the relevant behaviors that affect teachers’ reading of the entire fairy tale book and the root causes of teaching effectiveness.Based on the discovery and analysis of the causes of the above problems,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.Taking the adventure of the bacterial world as an example,teaching design is conducted,and the entire science fairy tale book is read.Aiming at the existing problems in current teaching,the interest of primary school students in reading science fairy tales is stimulated.Based on the above research and analysis,it is found that the current teaching of fairy tale reading in primary schools has the following problems: teachers’ insufficient understanding of reading the entire book,unique types of book recommendations,lack of reasons for recommendation,general educational goals,and disconnection from the teaching process.;The reason is that teachers have less theory and practice in reading the entire book,teaching the entire book requires more effort from teachers,and teachers do not have enough understanding of reading the entire fairy tale book.Reading the entire book is influenced by parents’ attitudes and the family reading atmosphere;In order to answer the above questions and reasons,teaching strategies are proposed from four aspects: recommending a complete fairy tale book,determining teaching objectives,implementing teaching processes,and evaluating teaching effectiveness;Based on the above strategy,we have chosen Bacterial World Adventure as the instructional design for reading the entire fairy tale book,in order to solve the existing problems in current teaching,stimulate the interest of primary school students in reading science fairy tales,and hope to provide a certain number of courses for front-line teachers.
