The primary school stage is a critical period for cultivating mathematical reasoning.This paper investigates the current situation of mathematical reasoning ability of grade 6 students,and puts forward targeted teaching suggestions.The research object of this study is 186 grade 6 students in Tianjin A primary school.The research methods are literature method,test method and interview method.Through the literature method,the literature review is formed,the core concepts are determined,and the structural dimension and horizontal dimension of mathematical reasoning are divided.Through the test method to investigate the status quo of students ’ mathematical reasoning ability,analyze the overall and specific status quo of students ’ mathematical reasoning ability,and its correlation with gender,mathematics achievement and learning interest;through the interview method,understand the students ’ thinking about the test questions.Through statistics and analysis,the research conclusions are drawn :(1)the mathematical reasoning ability of grade 6 students is at the upper middle level;(2)Students ’ simple deductive reasoning ability is better than inductive reasoning ability and analogical reasoning ability.(3)There is no gender difference in students ’ mathematical reasoning ability;(4)Students ’ mathematical reasoning ability is significantly related to mathematical achievement;(5)Students ’ mathematical reasoning ability is significantly related to learning interest;(6)The causes of students ’ errors in the test paper are complex,including : primary school students ’understanding of mathematical reasoning methods is not clear,and a systematic reasoning model has not been formed;weak understanding ability,lack of systematic thinking;mathematical language is not rigorous,abstract generalization ability is insufficient;basic knowledge is not in place,basic ability is weak;poor problem-solving habits,problem-solving is sloppy;a few students reject mathematical reasoning problems.In view of the problems found in the research,this study puts forward the following teaching suggestions :(1)Improve the awareness of reasoning and teach systematic methods;(2)Enhance understanding ability and train divergent thinking;(3)Standardize mathematical language,guide summary;(4)Consolidate basic knowledge and cultivate learning habits;(5)Pay attention to individual differences and promote student development. |
