"Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)" states that mathematics courses should focus on training and developing students’ ten mathematical literacy and abilities,such as number sense,symbol awareness,and reasoning ability.Reasoning ability is divided into plausible reasoning and deductive reasoning.Plausible reasoning is that individuals use the existing knowledge and experience and objective facts to observe,guess,associate,and intuition things,based on incomplete induction,analogy and other main forms to reason about certain results.Students’ mathematical plausible reasoning ability is the embodiment of their innovative thinking and ability,cultivating students ’mathematical plausible reasoning ability is also one of the ways to develop students’ core mathematical literacy.In recent years,the research on plausible reasoning in China is relatively high,but the mathematical plausible reasoning ability of primary school students is still insufficient.Therefore,the author conducts theoretical discussion and current situation investigation on the mathematical plausible reasoning ability of elementary school students,analyzes and discusses it,and proposes promotion strategies and suggestions at the same time,in order to enrich the theoretical research on plausible reasoning and help teachers reasonably,provide reference for teaching.This article mainly uses the literature analysis method,education test method,and interview method to investigate the mathematical plausible reasoning ability of the primary school students.Firstly,through the analysis of relevant literature,the meaning of mathematical plausible reasoning ability is summarized,and the indicators and dimensions are evaluated.Using test questions to survey 496 students in the urban,rural and urban-rural junction of S District,Chongqing,summarize the status of mathematics plausible reasoning ability of high-grade in primary school students.Through analysis and discussion,the conclusions of the investigation are summarized,and relevant suggestions are put forward.After investigation,this study mainly draws the following conclusions:primary school students ’mathematical plausible reasoning ability gradually develops with the growth of gradeStudents’ and analogy reasoning is lower;incomplete inductive reasoning is higher,there is still room to rise.There are individual differences in students’ mathematical reasoning abilities,which are mainly manifested in rural elementary school students,not students represented in mathematics classes,students with poor mathematical performance,and low interest in mathematical learning,and their mathematical plausible reasoning abilities are low.Finally,suggestions for improving primary school students’ mathematical plausible reasoning ability.Mainly include: By cultivating students ’associative ability,comparative consciousness and ability,students can gain an understanding of the nature of mathematical knowledge,and pay attention to the guidance of analogical thinking methods to improve students’ analogical reasoning;Through the cultivation of observation ability,abstract and summary ability,develop students’ consciousness and ability to verify conjecture,and cultivate students’ habit of summarizing inductive mathematical thinking methods to improve students’ incomplete inductive reasoning ability;Strengthen students’ mathematical expression ability by focusing on the training of mathematical language expression ability,guiding the accuracy and logic of expression;By strengthening the subject knowledge training of rural teachers and the development of school-based curriculum in rural elementary schools,the ability of rural elementary school students to improve mathematical plausible reasoning is increased.
