Oral history is a popular historical research method in recent years, and it is increasingly used in the fields of sociology and ethnography, and has basically formed a set of research methodology. This paper attempts to combine oral history research methods with history teaching practice and explore the paradigm of using oral history research methods in history teaching, with a view to providing methodological references for front-line teaching. This paper takes the period of "History of Reform and Opening Up" as an example to explore the strategies of using oral history research methods. This paper compares the history of reform and opening up with the small size and prominent theme of the "Outline of Chinese and Foreign History(Upper)",which makes the main lines easy to sort out.In this paper,we have reviewed the standards, teaching materials, and learning conditions of the topic "History of Reform and Opening-up" and reconstructed the content under the concept of largeunit teaching to accommodate the use of oral history research methods. The use of oral history research methods in teaching should be tailored to the realities of history teaching. In the process of application, the principles of operability, appropriateness, student subjectivity, and the combination of perceptual experience and rational understanding should be grasped. For oral materials obtained through oral history practice,it is important to recognize the difference between them and oral history materials.Oral history materials must conform to the true meaning of the word "historical materials",that is,to the basic norms of historiography, and to the mutual evidence of historical materials. Therefore, the information directly obtained from the oral interviews should be further processed and analyzed by using relevant documentary, photographic, and physical historical materials to support each other. In this process students’ historical evidence literacy and historical interpretation literacy are implemented. Finally, the oral history materials obtained from the oral history practice activities are used in classroom teaching design to give full play to their historical value.
