In recent years,the implementation of core literacy is the goal of teaching practice in primary and secondary education.In September 2016,the state issued the overall framework of "Chinese students to develop core literacy," "core literacy" as a new policy concept is gradually understood by the education field.The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High School(2017 Edition)and the Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Version)have successively condensed the core literacy of mathematics in different learning stages.It emphasizes the importance of developing students’ mathematics core literacy in mathematics education.At the end of the 20 th century,with the continuous development of modern educational technology in China,the Ministry of Education popularized a software named Geometer’s Sketchpad,and put forward the concept of "curriculum integration," Since then,the Geometer’s Sketchpad as a teaching assistant software officially boarded the teaching stage.Now,the application of Geometer’s Sketchpad is common in junior high school mathematics teaching.However,the suitability of developing students’ mathematics core literacy in junior high school based on Geometer’s Sketchpad is not definited.Meanwhile,more independent corroboration is necessary whether the use of Geometers’ Sketchpad teaching can effectively promote the development of mathematical core literacy of junior high school students.These issues are worthy of in-depth thinking and researching.In order to explore the effectiveness of the Geometer’s Sketchpad in developing the mathematics core literacy of junior high school students,and explore the teaching methods to promote the mathematical core literacy,this study adopted a combination of theoretical analysis and experimental verification.First of all,through literature review and analysis the current domestic and foreign research results of core literacy,mathematics core literacy and Geometry Sketchpad,the author defined the core concept and the theoretical basis of the study.Secondly,this study combined with the existing teaching cases and the author’s own practical experience,analyzed the relevance of developing students’ mathematics core literacy in junior high school based Geometer’s Sketchpad.Then,based on the Geometer’s Sketchpad,the tea ching design of the difficult content "hidden circle" in junior middle school is carried out.Two classes with the same cognitive level are divided into experimental class and control class to carry out teaching experiments.Finally,through interviews,questionnaires,teaching post-test and other methods,experimental data is collected.The author use SPSS and EXCEL software to analyze the experimental data.Based on quantitative data,we evaluate the effectiveness of the Geometer’s Sketchpad for the development of students’ mathematics core literacy in junior high school.The research found that the use of Geometer’s Sketchpad can effectively promote the development of mathematics core literacy:(1)It develops the junior high school students’ abstract ability,geometric intuition and view of space in the concept teaching;(2)It extends the ability of operation,reasoning,geometric intuition and the view of space in the teaching of mathematical properties and propositions;(3)It promotes model concept,data concept,and applied consciousness in problem solving teaching.The teaching experiment further proves that the Geometer’s Sketchpad significantly promotes the development of the students’ abstract ability,geometric intuition and the view of space,reasoning ability and model concept.
