| After the reform and opening up,our country has opened up the country and introduced technology,resources and talents,which has achieved remarkable results in the economy by leaps and bounds.In order to build a high-quality talent team to meet the needs of national economic development,our country has implemented a series of policies to expand enrollment in higher education since 1999.In the past 20 years,our country’s higher education has made great progress,providing a sufficient source of labor for economic growth.However,the current social economy is faced with the development problems of quality improvement and structural reform,and the current utilization rate of our country’s economic resources is relatively low.The same problem also occurs in the process of resource allocation in the field of education.Education mismatch is a structural problem in which the educational level of the labor force does not match the educational level required for the job,resulting in a low return to education and an ineffective allocation of human capital.How to solve the problem of education mismatch is essentially to find ways to improve the current low rate of return to education in our country and improve the utilization rate of human capital.Therefore,it is of great fundamental significance to measure the occurrence of educational mismatch in our country and comprehensively analyze the relevant factors affecting educational mismatch.Based on the perspective of human capital supply and labor skill demand,examining the educational level and the potential impact of different labor skills on education mismatch can provide new empirical research results for the study of education mismatch.It is helpful for the government,enterprises and labor groups to gradually realize the understanding of education mismatch,so as to further find a way to solve the problem of mismatch between education resources and human resources that cannot be directly used in Chinese society.The utilization efficiency of educational resources is a source of value that stimulates the contribution of talents to economic growth.This paper selects the educational mismatch data from the China Family Tracking Survey Database in 2018 and 2020 to measure the educational mismatch in our country,and from the perspective of human capital supply and labor skill demand,studies the factors of educational background and different labor skills.Implications for educational mismatches.The research content closely follows social hotspots and is close to real life,providing new data proof for quantifying the degree of educational mismatch in our country.In the research on the influencing factors of educational mismatch,the educational level is further divided into four types and the influence of vocational education and general education on educational mismatch is discussed.The research content of this paper provides a new angle for studying the influencing factors of educational mismatch,so that the impact mechanism of labor skill demand on educational mismatch can be more clearly understood.A Logit model was constructed to study the impact of workers’ education level and job skills on education mismatch,and then regression analysis was carried out.The final conclusions are as follows:(1)The relationship between workers’ education level and over-education There is a positive correlation between the two,and overeducation is more likely to occur when receiving vocational education;(2)There is a negative correlation between the level of education received by workers and undereducation,and the probability of under-education for workers receiving general education is small;(3)Unconventional tasks in workers’ job skills demand inhibit over-education,while routine tasks promote under-education.Aiming at the problem of education mismatch in our country,this paper puts forward relevant suggestions based on the empirical research results from the following aspects: rationally allocate educational resources and improve the level of human capital;attach importance to the construction of vocational education and improve the versatility of vocational and technical education diplomas;increase investment in innovation,improve Labor quality evaluation and training system;in addition,laborers should be guided to establish a correct employment concept and make reasonable investment in education. |
