Academic frustration,is a common psychological problem among teenagers,and its mechanism and prevention have been widely concerned by researchers in the field of psychology.The junior high school students are in adolescence,during which their physical and psychological conditions have undergone major changes.Paying attention to the exploration and cultivation of external positive forces can better develop the physical and mental health of junior high school students,and social support is one of the most important positive forces.The academic frustration is affected by both internal and external factors.This study selects the social support of junior high school students,discusses the relationship between the social support and the academic frustration of junior high school students.Through introducing the factor of psychological resilience as an intermediary variable,the paper also explores the mechanism of psychological resilience between the social support and the academic frustration of junior high school students.On this basis,this study further develops a group counseling program to improve the sense of social support and psychological resilience of junior high school students and then intervene in the sense of social support and psychological resilience of junior high school students,to alleviate academic frustration by improving the sense of social support and psychological resilience of junior high school students.In the first study,the questionnaire survey method is used to select about 700 students from four classes among twelve classes from of the first grade,the second grade and the third grade of a middle school.The questionnaire is used as the research tool to investigate the relationship among the social support,psychological resilience and academic frustration of junior high school students.The study reached the following conclusions:(1)There are demographic differences in junior high school students’psychological resilience,academic frustration,and social support.(2)The psychological resilience of junior high school students is correlated with academic frustration and social support.The psychological resilience of junior high school students can positively predict social support,while the psychological resilience of junior high school students can negatively predict academic frustration,and the social support of junior high school students can negatively predict academic frustration.(3)The psychological resilience of junior high school students plays an intermediary role in social support and academic frustration.The second study adopted the methods of experiment,questionnaire,and interview.On the basis of the first study,aiming at the various dimensions of junior high school students’ sense of social support and the relevant factors affecting psychological resilience,the paper designed a group psychological counseling program to improve their sense of social support and psychological resilience.70 junior high school students with relatively low sense of social support in the first grade of junior high school in Henan Province were randomly selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with 35 people in each group.The experimental group received eight group psychological counseling with the theme of improving social support and psychological resilience,while the control group did not receive any psychological intervention.After the group counseling,the two groups of students’ sense of social support,psychological resilience and academic frustration were post-tested,and the differences were tested in combination with the pre-test.The research is expected to assume that group psychological counseling can improve junior high school students’ sense of social support and psychological resilience,and then reduce their sense of academic frustration.This study incorporates both external risk factors(social support)and internal protective factors(psychological resilience)into a model to investigate,further explains the internal influence mechanism of social support on junior high school students’ academic frustration,explores the intermediary role of psychological resilience in junior high school students’ social support and academic frustration,and enriches relevant research.In practice,the implementation of the group counseling program to improve the sense of social support and psychological resilience of junior high school students has played a positive role in alleviating the sense of academic frustration of junior high school students.At the same time,through improving the sense of social support and psychological resilience of junior high school students,the group counseling program also provides ideas for follow-up research to a certain extent.
