Disintegration And Reconstruction: A Study Of The Work Process Of Couriers From An Individualized Perspectiv

In recent years,with the rapid development of my country’s economy and the rise of the Internet economy,the express delivery industry has also developed rapidly.On the rise,the importance of couriers in people’s daily life is becoming more and more prominent.On the one hand,the rise of the courier group provides a lot of convenience for people’s lives,but at the same time,the situation of the courier group is also worrying.The exploration of the working process of couriers,the exploration of the process of individualization in China,the development of individualization theory and the promotion of the development of the express delivery industry have important theoretical and practical significance.From the perspective of individualization,this paper collects relevant materials through literature collection,field investigation,unstructured interviews,etc.While describing the basic overall picture of the courier’s work process,it is based on the three dimensions of deembedding,de-centering and re-embedding.Time and space,changes in the system,and the inner tension embodied in three levels,systematically discuss the individual connotation,characteristics and turning of the courier’s work process,and further elaborate the individual meaning of the courier’s work process,trying to serve China.The discussion on the issue of social individualization provides a new way of thinking.The study found that the work process of couriers showed obvious individual characteristics,but there were differences between the theory of individualization and the empirical research conclusions of Chinese social individualization.First of all,the work process of couriers shows obvious characteristics of individualization and autonomy.At the institutional level,the work process of couriers presents a turn of flexibility and individualization.At the individual level,couriers are undertaking multiple identities.On the premise,on the one hand,the courier’s work process has obvious individual attributes,and on the other hand,the courier needs to deal with a series of risks that may arise in the work process.Secondly,the courier also has the characteristics of standardization in the work process,but the meaning of standardization represented by this characteristic has changed.The unified meaning of standardization in the industrial society is gradually abstracted,and the standardization is centered on the individual.Thirdly,while the standardization requirement presents a trend of individualization,on the one hand,it brings about the overlapping and collision of the boundaries between different individuals,which triggers a series of crises.The relevant system of the center is constantly being generated,and the initiative of the individual is further reflected.Finally,with the transformation of the connotation and meaning of individualization,the process of individualization has entered a new stage,the significance of individual-centered institutional remodeling has become increasingly prominent,the boundaries between different individuals are gradually established,and a new round of individual-centered Institutionalization and standardization are further established,and the work process of couriers shows new individualized significance.In a word,the work process of couriers shows obvious individualized significance,but its connotation is also different from the institutionalized individualism proposed by Baker et al.and the conclusion of empirical research on the process of individualization in Chinese society.It is more a microcosm of the process of Chinese social turning and social remodeling.Although the profession of courier provides workers with corresponding employment opportunities,the individual’s initiative can be brought into play in the process of work,but the courier still needs to deal with the potential risks in the work process alone.The work process of couriers is still a process of "manufacturing consent",and the tension between the individual and the system embodied by it is still an issue that needs further attention from the academic community.
