At present,in the school environment, the phenomenon of test anxiety is relatively common among students, and has become one of the common psychological problems of middle school students.Moderate test anxiety can better stimulate students’ learning motivation and promote students’ learning, but excessive test anxiety will make students produce a series of adverse physical and psychological reactions, which will seriously affect students’ physical and mental health. If it is not corrected in time,it may lead to serious psychological diseases. Therefore, taking a middle school in Yunnan Province as a pilot, this study explores the current situation of 2477 senior high school students’ test anxiety, and designs a set of targeted group counseling intervention program on this basis,so as to alleviate students’ test anxiety level and promote students’ good psychological development,so as to provide some theoretical basis and practical guidance for parents to educate their children and school psychological counseling center to coach students. This study is divided into two parts:Study 1 explored the current situation of test anxiety of senior high school students, investigated the current situation and characteristics of test anxiety of 2477 senior high school students in a middle school in Yunnan Province by issuing Test Anxiety Scale(TAS),and explored the differences of test anxiety among senior high school students in demographic variables(gender, grade, place of origin, whether they are the only child, whether they have served as class cadres);Study 2 is an intervention study on test anxiety of senior high school students. On the basis of study 1,40 students with medium and high test anxiety levels were selected as research subjects. They were randomly divided into 20 in the intervention group and 20 in the control group. The group intervention method was used to carry out 6 test anxiety group counseling interventions in the intervention group,Teaching of the normal psychological courses to the control group. After the intervention,The data of TAS scores before and after the intervention group and the control group and the feedback data of group activity effect in the intervention group were collected to verify the effect of group intervention through quantitative and qualitative analysis. After research, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The detection rate of high school students’ test anxiety is high, and the average level of test anxiety is 17.81,which is at the level of moderate anxiety;Among the 2477 subjects, the proportion of mild, moderate and severe test anxiety was 24.7%,33.8%and 41.5%respectively,among which the proportion of severe test anxiety was the highest.(2)There are significant differences in the test anxiety level of senior high school students between genders, and the test anxiety level of girls is significantly higher than that of boys.(3)There are significant differences in the test anxiety level of senior high school students in the place of origin, and the test anxiety of rural students is significantly higher than that of urban students.(4)There are significant differences in the test anxiety level of senior high school students in grades, and the test anxiety level of senior high school students is the highest, the second highest, and the third lowest.(5)There was no significant difference in test anxiety between only child and non only child.(6)There was no significant difference in the level of test anxiety between senior high school students and class cadres.(7)The test anxiety group counseling program designed in this study can effectively reduce students’ test anxiety level. After verification, the test anxiety level of the subjects in the intervention group decreased from severe to moderate, while the test anxiety level of the subjects in the control group had no significant change before and after the test, which proved that the intervention effect was very significant.(8)The design of the group counseling program implemented in this study is reasonable, and the participation and satisfaction of group members are very high. Therefore,it can be applied to practice and extended to the teaching of mental health education.
