A Practical Study On The Relief Of Psychological Stress Of Family Caregivers Of Mentally Retarded Children Through Group Work Interventio

Mental retardation is often a lifelong disease.At present,there is no effective medical means to cure mental retardation,which means that people with mental retardation are difficult to rely on themselves and must receive long-term care and care.As a part of this special group,mentally retarded children need more time and energy from family caregivers because of their young age,which leads to more problems and greater pressure for family caregivers of mentally retarded children in sadness and joy,and even extreme behaviors such as abandoning mentally retarded children.Therefore,society should not only pay attention to special groups such as mentally retarded children,but also pay attention to the pressure relief of family caregivers of mentally retarded children,especially in terms of psychological pressure.Social work has incomparable professional advantages in helping to alleviate the psychological pressure of family caregivers of mentally retarded children,but at present,there is very little research in this field.This paper selects the family caregivers of mentally retarded children in D community y service center of H city as the research object,and uses the group work method in social work methods to carry out practical research on the family caregivers of mentally retarded children.By means of questionnaire and participatory observation,this paper understands the basic situation of family caregivers of mentally retarded children,deeply analyzes the current problems and actual needs of family caregivers of mentally retarded children,and finds that the psychological pressure of family caregivers of mentally retarded children is more prominent.Then,seven group activities were designed to solve the prominent problems found in the research.After the implementation of seven group activities,family caregivers of mentally retarded children have effectively mastered the methods to alleviate psychological pressure and learned to tap their potential to enhance their confidence in long-term care of mentally retarded children.Finally,through the development and implementation of this research activity,this paper puts forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions,and calls on all levels of society to pay attention to the family caregivers of mentally retarded children,so as to alleviate and improve the current situation of family caregivers of mentally retarded children.
