The Research Of Cooperative Group On Mentally Disabled Young Family Caregivers

The caregivers of mentally disabled young family is different from other caregivers of disabled persons family. On the one hand, the fracture of communication between parents and their children causes tensions within the family. On the other hand, heavy taking care of bad work makes them interact with the surrounding environment system and lack of social support network. Related research shows that the caregivers of mentally disabled young family are over the age of 60 and for a long periodof time to take care of the work makesthem to face:physicalstress,psychological pressure and social pressure. Although at present the country's support for the disabled community strength is increasing, but ignore the guardians of the group of "broken-winged angel"- attention the caregivers of family.In this paper, the theme of the main basis is selected from the author in Wuhan city Z street professional internship experience in social work institutions. Breakthrough the previous research to this traditional study perspective of mentally disabled youth as the research object, under the support of social support theory, with mentally disabled young family caregivers as the research object, the social work in the feasibility and effectiveness of the group problems have been explored. First of all, collecting information about organization overall environment through internships within the institutions, the parents of young professional relationship trust was built by using the sincere acceptance of skills so that the late intervention of social work services. Secondly, with the interview method,mentally disabled young family's caregivers of an organization have to face: physical stress--- the body tired ? energy overdraw; psychological stress---depressed,inability to strong emotion; social pressure---lack of social interaction?weak social support networks and so on. Finally, based on the parents and the homogeneity of the problems, the professional methods of team work was used to make team work plan formulation; with medium of group activities, let obstacles the family caregivers of youth in the group sharesimilar experiences and vent negative emotions; using parent-child communication skills,gradually establish a good parent-child relationship, at the same time through mutual help to build a social support network platform. Through the process assessment and result assessment in the late group to investigate the effect of social work practice, the validity of reciprocal team work to solve such problems and deficiencies were clearly defined.Above all, mental retardation youth family's caregivers were the service object in this paper. Under the support of social support networks, the pressure of mental retardation youth family's caregivers were timely channel and constructed social support network. In the micro level, to help disabled youth family's caregivers improve the parent-child relationship and in the macro level, the theory of mentally disabled young family's caregivers is continuous researching and deepening.
