Research On Personalized Book Information Retrieval In OPAC System Based On Context-Aware

The OPAC information retrieval system is a commonly used book resource retrieval portal currently used by libraries.It only provides retrieval results based on the retrieval terms entered by users,and cannot meet the users’ personalized information needs.The retrieval needs of different users are different.Generally,the users of the library OPAC system are in a non-logged-in state,the system cannot obtain the user’s personal information and understand their information needs,and it is difficult to provide personalized retrieval services.The development and application of context-aware technology and Internet technology provide a convenient way and method for obtaining user contextual information.The obtained contextual information can be used to perceive user interest preferences and the real-time status of book resources in real time.The purpose of this paper is to adaptively adjust and sort the search results based on the existing search results provided by the OPAC system according to different user needs and resource status,so as to improve the search effect and realize the personalized ranking of the search results.In this context,this article conducts research on the application of situational awareness in OPAC system book information retrieval.The research content mainly includes the following points:(1)Analyze the contextual elements that are valuable to the book information retrieval of the OPAC system based on improving the user’s personalized retrieval experience.In order to realize the personalization of book information retrieval based on context awareness,it is necessary to perceive user context and resource context at the same time,so as to lay a foundation for matching resources and user needs and preferences while realizing user interest preference modeling.Specifically,analyzing the components of the user context helps to obtain the user’s personalized needs and preferences,and lays the foundation for the establishment of a user interest model;analyzing the components of the resource context helps determine the degree of matching between resources and the user’s interest model.(2)Propose a personalized book information retrieval model based on situational awareness.Perceive user context and resource context in real time through context awareness technology to obtain the user’s personalized demand preferences and the status of information resources,and combine the two to propose a personalized ranking strategy,combining user preferences and information on the basis of the original search results.The weight of resource features is calculated to achieve personalized ranking,and the personalized details page is displayed according to the personalized ranking results.(3)Verify the effect of the model.Experiments were conducted on the user search log data and all book data of the Hubei University of Technology Library to verify the effectiveness of the model.According to the experimental results,the overall improvement effect of the ranking results is 51.5%,the ranking results with basically the same effect account for 48.5%,and the ranking results without improvement account for 0%,indicating that the model effect is better.Therefore,applying context-aware technology to the OPAC system book information retrieval can not only meet the user’s personalized retrieval needs,but also provide a reference for optimizing the experience of the OPAC system information retrieval module.
