The High School Geography Curriculum Standards(Revised Edition 2020)requires innovative teaching methods for developing core literacies in geography.Among them,the concept of human-earth coordination,as the only value in the core literacy of geography,is difficult to cultivate and evaluate in the teaching mainly in the traditional way.As an important way to cultivate core literacy in geography,research activities provide an implementation path for the cultivation of the concept of human-land coordination.In the study activities,students gain an in-depth understanding of the interactions between human activities and the geographic environment through real situations,thus establishing a correct concept of coordinated humanland development.This study was conducted with some students and geography teachers in four high schools in Jiamusi City as the research subjects.The results show that:(1)students’ cognition of the concept of human-earth coordination is not comprehensive,and the application level of the concept of human-earth coordination varies;(2)there is a single way to cultivate the concept of human-earth coordination,and it is difficult to implement the teaching objectives;(3)the number of research and study activities is small and the links are incomplete.Further investigation reveals that the above problems are mainly caused by the confinement of the traditional teaching model,the single way of educational evaluation,the lack of professional training for teachers and the many factors affecting the development of study and research activities.In order to design effective study-learning activity programs,the design strategies of high school geography study-learning activity programs are proposed from three aspects: studylearning activity objectives,study-learning activity design principles and study-learning activity evaluation.This paper is guided by sustainable development theory,constructivism theory,life education theory,POGIL theory and experiential learning theory,based on the high school geography curriculum standards and the content of the second compulsory high school geography textbook of Xiangji version,and effectively integrates the local geographic resources of Jiamusi city.Three study programs were designed for the Yichun Red Pine Forest,Fujin National Wetland Park and Fujin Wanmu Rice Park around Jiamusi City.It provides a reference for high school geography teachers in Jiamusi city and the surrounding areas to be able to effectively cultivate students’ view of human-land coordination in the study activities.
