It is impossible to overstate the importance of political and ideological education as one of the most important ways to help students develop their moral and political values and help the country grow.The high school course in ideology and politics is essential to China’s primary education system and helps guide students meaningfully.The spiritual foundation of China is its traditional culture,which has important historical,cultural,and philosophical values.Despite this,due to historical reasons and changes in the times,the influence and vitality of traditional culture in modern society have gradually weakened.Therefore,researching how to apply excellent traditional Chinese culture in high school ideological and political education can help excavate and inherit its values,promote innovation and development,and enhance students’ cultural identity,moral and political literacy,and innovative abilities.This research provides a reference and guidance for effectively implementing excellent traditional culture education in high school ideological and political education.This article is divided into four parts.The first part elaborates on the concept and significance of excellent traditional Chinese culture and its resources,providing a foundation for subsequent discussions.The second part sums things up using questionnaires and the author’s internship experience.It analyzes the problems with using good traditional cultural resources to teach high school students about politics and ideologies.This gives a practical basis for suggesting solutions.The third part looks at why the problems exist from the point of view of schools,teachers,and students and suggest ways to fix them.Based on the analysis of the first three parts,the fourth part suggests using good traditional cultural resources in high school ideological and political education.These include getting the community more involved,encouraging the development and use of good traditional cultural resources,ensuring high school teachers know more about traditional culture,and ensuring students pay more attention.
